BTH
So once again our HW-based EHM league is looking for GMs. We're in crunch time right now and these are playoff teams, so GMs with experience are preferred, but it isn't necessary. The trade deadline is passed - the most important thing to worry about is making lines. Anaheim: This is a powerhouse team. One of the top formations in the league, if not the best. This could be a good team for a newb to control and get some instant playoff experience. Washington: Another very strong team that should see action in the playoffs. One of the deepest and most fun line ups around. Boston: This one's a bit more of a challenge as they're a middle-of-the-pack club. Still, they have the talent to make the playoffs in any year, it's mostly a question of finding an active GM. If anyone's interested, PM me or post it here. (I don't think we still use the applications form from the HWL site?) If you're worried about your inexperience, we've got plenty of people around who can "mentor" you, or at least give you tips. nhfarber
As someone who joined this league years ago with no prior experience I would recommend it to anybody here. People are always willing to help you learn, answer questions and help guide you along your way. Don't let inexperience prevent you from joining, all we're looking for are people who are going to be active GMs.
Psycing
Joining will also let you in on a ton of inside jokes around these boards...
KoZed
For those who dont know what EHM is: EHM stands for Eastside Hockey Manager. It's a very complete hockey simulation game. It puts you in charge of a hockey team's entire operations: draft, finances, farm system, contracts, lines, training, scouting, etc. The game itself is quite old; but it stands the test of time. It's addictive. So addictive people have to quit it altogether to take care of their real life. HWL is our own HabsWorld EHM league. We're in our 8th season now. It's a big success. Lots of inside joke and drama. Can't have HWL without drama. It's a good way to prove yourself as a GM. You're just a regular armchair GM until you've been put to the test in EHM. JLP
HWL is quite competitive, although the Reigning and soon-to-be Repeat Champs are the Oil, , , just saying.
JoeLassister
My wife and I used to watch all kind of sports on tv. Hockey, baseball, soccer and even ping-pong. Then, I found out about EHM and HWL. It's like my interest for watching sports on tv with my wife had dissapeared...

KoZed
That was quick Dunno why NM said that. Just to point something out: HWL goes faster than a regular NHL season. We're now in 2012-2013. Lots of trades had happened and lots of fictive players had to be added to the game to match our pace; meaning there isnt one team roster that is like the real NHL anymore.
