I'd say not many.

Thanks for shattering my hopes and dreams Lovett!!!!!!

I was hoping for dlbalr to chime in, very interested in the answer. I know there have been a few players like Vermette and Ryan Smyth that got traded at the deadline and resigned with their old teams.

There's a difference between circling back to their old teams that they've been traded from at the deadline and circling back to their existing team early in free agency.  The interview period is still in its relative infancy (it has really only picked up the last couple of years) and has really changed things so it's hard to really say who has done so as it hasn't been around all that long.

Uh-oh.... EK is reporting Galchenyuk for Anisimov rumors....

Isn't that good news if EK is reporting it?

Normally, yes.  But I scrolled through his 'rumour chart' and he had Marleau going to TOR and a few other mediocre signings correct.  His pass/fail ratio is still terrible but I'm always curious to see what he's reporting....

Marleau to leafs was pretty expected.

Babcock is in love with Marleau

If he trades Chucky for Anisimov Id say he is still working undercover for the Hawks. Taking Shaw from them for 2 2ndrounders and then giving them Galchenyuk for a 3rd line center.

Isnt that illegal? He is an american spy working to ruin a Canadian company?

It would be Anisimov plus for Galchenyuk, Like a young D ready to crack the lineup type of player.

I want that young D to be Sergachev quality or not make the trade at all

That's about what it would take IMO.

I don't know anything about Anisomov, but his value is close to Galchnyuk's by himself

Only in the eyes of MB

I think you have to keep Chucky now that Radu is gone.

You think???? We needed to keep chucky AND Rad to be better offensively.  Although I have zero condidence that galchenyuk will last a full year in Montreal and I can see him being a 70+ point player elsewhere.

Well, if I'm honest, I try not to think about the Habs. It hurts..

Agreed.  I think the top 12 looks like this:

Pacioretty - Danault - Drouin

Galchenyuk - Shaw - Gallagher

Lehkonen - Plekanec - Hemsky

Byron - De La Rose - Hudon

Shaw on the 2nd line?   And we are supposed to be better this year.  If we have any hope in hell we need galchenyuk at centre.

No way Chucky plays centre.  Team doesn't seem him there.  Shaw has played centre before and I think will get a chance in training camp.  Plus, put him with 2 skilled wingers and why not see what he does?

That lineup screams 'destined to exit in the 1st round'

With TBL and FLA improving and who knows about the isles, I think fighting for a playoff spot maybe more apt forecast, unless Price returns to Hart form.

Ideally, I would love to see Danault/Shaw shift down and get rid of Plex.
