Chips
Plekanec questionable for tonight with the flu. Lines if he can't go: Kostitsyn - Gomez - Gionta Cammalleri - Eller - Moen Pouliot - Halpern - Darche Boyd - Pyatt - Lapierre With Plek's sitting this is Ellers chance to shine. If it does work out this way tonight I hope we see what the Dane can do! As for putting Kosts with the G'G's., not sure this will work but its worth the shot I guess... I cannot bare another loss tonight, so lets move this forward with a victory! GO HABS GO!

brobin
Maybe they should go with Cammy and the GGs..
dlbalr
Plekanec expected to play according to RDS. Also, Picard has been told to find an apartment, which means he's up long-term. O'Byrne's days look even more numbered now than before.

brobin
Pleks is out.. now we have Eller and Gomez as the top two centers.. our depth is astounding.
brobin
wow.. did I just see Gomez stop on a break away and wait for someone to pass to... wow.. just wow.. and down the ice and in our net.
Habsfan84
That was absolute crap. Bad play by the habs in the offensive zone and a weak attempt by Price for the save.
brobin
and our grunt line comes back and scores for us.. funny.. when you hit the net, some of them go in (note to Gomez.. you also have to try shooting, to have a chance to hit the net, to have a chance to score... )
Habsfan84
Habs get it back. Nice little play from the Habs 3rd line.

brobin
the most simple plays in our end turn into scoring chances for Buffalo when Spacek and Hammer are on the ice.
brobin
unreal.. they give both Markov and Gorges penalties for that...
Habsfan84
absolute BS. Gorges two minutes for a minor push. Not a mans game today.
brobin
they way they are playing, we are looking at a three game losing streak...
brobin
Pouliot, at least our 3rd and 4th lines showed up.
Habsfan84
Habs sure know how to get it right back. Pouliot ties it up at 2. Now only if they can get a lead that would be nice.
Habsfan84
That line is on fire. Pouliot puts the Habs up by 1.
Habsfan84
Markov also gets his first point since being back on that goal. Also that puts Pouliot 2 points on the season over Latendresse, but Latendresse has played 5 less games and is on the IR down in minnie. dlbalr
That line is on fire. Pouliot puts the Habs up by 1. Essentially a collection of misfits and (deemed by Martin at least) underachievers - Darche is a fringe player, Halpern was a late signing, and Pouliot...well, we all know he's bounced around needlessly between lines this year. Funny how things pan out sometimes. I was impressed in the second half of the 2nd period, the Habs tried to stretch the D and get their transition game going and they had lots of good chances as a result. If they play like that for the 3rd, they should be fine. However, as we've seen too many times before, will the Habs sit on the lead and let Buffalo dictate the play? I sure hope not...if they do, at least Price looks solid again tonight.
Habsfan84
However, as we've seen too many times before, will the Habs sit on the lead and let Buffalo dictate the play? Yup the typical Martin coaching approach.
dlbalr
On another note, how on Earth does Halpern have 3 points? He lost the draw on the 2nd goal and somehow was credited with an assist there...
