dlbalr
His contract information is now up on the site, glad to see them get a deal done.
dlbalr
I know all the sites are reporting a cap hit of ~630k but given the signing bonus data, it can't be accurate. His cap hit has to be $900,000 which means there are performance bonuses in there somewhere.
bbp
What do you think his chances are with the big club in the next 2 years?
dlbalr
What do you think his chances are with the big club in the next 2 years? 2 years, I'd say pretty low other than as a callup like Engqvist was this season. He basically missed half of last year and since he bounced around between leagues and teams, he didn't play a ton when he actually played. This means he's a little further behind in the development curve compared to a 20 year old coming out of the CHL. He has a shot at being a useful player but it's going to take some time for sure. saskhab
I think it'd be smart for him to stay next year in Finland before coming over, much like what happened with Engqvist, where we signed him a year before bringing him over.
