It'd be nice if he were to give it a shot in North America but given his lack of success back home, I'm not sure he'd be too big of an impact player. Sure, it'd be nice for Hamilton to have a bit more offensive punch (and someone who speaks Russian would likely help Avtsin) but I can't see him coming over without some sort of Yemelin-like guarantee in his deal. Yemelin's KHL successes somewhat warranted such a guarantee, but it's not something I'd like to see handed out to every Russian draftee. With no transfer agreement in place, the Habs will continue to hold his rights so who knows, maybe things change if he has a good season.
