Its Josh Brook, our second rounder last year.

He started the season injured, but he has looked fantastic since returning.  Dominant in both ends of the ice.

It is early, but that start is really encouraging.

How things change ... mind you, that's from almost five years ago!

Yeah the injuries suck.  Hes lost so much prime development time.

Im not giving up on him but things look worse now than a year ago.

This is why you need depth in the system.  Weve lost people like Juulsen, Reway, Bozon, etc to injuries/illness and that is just something you cant avoid even if they looked promising.

Kidney 0pts, 1st time in 11gms held pointless.

Hope he has great playoffs, adds some strength over summer and next season lights up the Q for 100a.:youpi:

Interesting (?) that they included the term "Habs prospect" ... maybe the decision on whether to offer him a contract is outstanding.

Its just the social media team tweeting.  Management isnt advising them their plans IMO. I don't think we should read to much into a tweet.

They haven't announced any decision about Stapley anyway, have they? I think it was just someone from TSN saying that he probably wouldn't be signed.

He isnt likely getting a NHL deal, is he?

I think the only indication so far is a story by Mathias Brunet in La Presse, where he opines that Stapley is unlikely to be signed.

But, if no NHL team offers him deal, he may still sign with Laval perhaps?

Or, I expect, any other AHL team that makes him an offer he likes.

Watched Simoneau and Trudeau live today and was very underwhelmed. At least we aren't expecting much from them anyway

Dont have much hope for Trudeau, but hoping Simoneau might develop OK, 63pts in 38gms...but is turning 21 i suppose and should be beating high school age kids around the ice.

Why are we giving up on trudeau less . than a year after being drafted.  Hes like two years younger than Simoneau.

Didnt say giving up, said dont have much hope. But, is safe to say for vast majority of picks.

But, suppose he is 15th Q in d-scoring, just 0.78ppg last year to 0.64ppg this year, if offense is his thing.

(AND Ben you know i am no scout, so i doubt you would put much (any) stock into my general impression on a long shot 4th rounder.)
