Nice, Beck has sure shown a lot of improvement, 13 goals in 15 games compared to 21 goals in 68 games last year.  Not too shabby for a guy projected to be a 3rd line center.

2 point games for:

                               Bitten, Fleury, Evans, Poehling, Walford...AND IKONEN 1g (1) 1a!

I'm quoting a five-year old post here ... why?

First, I think our (non-AHL) prospect pool is way stronger now than it was back then, with Roy, Kidney, Beck, Mesar, Mailloux and others, not to mention the kids playing in Laval and Montreal.

And second ... the reality check: just because they look good in junior doesn't mean they will make the big leagues. We were excited about Bitten, Walford and Tyszka, all of them fizzled. Ikonen's injuries slammed his door shut. Fleury is struggling to break into a regular role with the Kraken. Evans and Poehling are the only ones that appear to be on track for a steady NHL career, and both will be in the bottom six.

Good on the NCAA, Struble got into a fight and is suspended, the way it should play it.

So, Hutson (and Tuch also i suppose) wont be facing him today in NE-BU game.

The Habs have sent Emil Heineman to Leksand in Sweden so it appears that he has been cleared from his preseason injury.

Hopefully he shows more than Hughes other pick-up has, Ty Smilanic.

... Hutson 1g1a GWG ...

11 games ... 4 goals ... 8 assists ... it seems that offensive talent will not be the challenge for this kid.

I still find it hard to believe how his skill set/smarts got passed over till late 2nd round.

Fingers crossed it plays out as Caufield has.

Quinn Hughes  29pts in 37 games as freshman

Adam Fox         40pts in 35 games as freshman

Hutson?

Hockey may have evolved significantly, but 148 pounds is still 148 pounds ... thank you Ken Holland for the opportunity, and Hugo for not passing on the "li'l fella".

6'3" 238lbs power forward was a definite factor in the latest pick. And also been discussed that Gorton felt needed to get bigger.

I think elite skilled players is what they need mostly, be it a tiny Caufield or an average sized Suzuki or jumbo Slafkovski.

But the Beck, Guindon, Hutson...class of 22 is looking promising for sure.

Now, will any be stand outs at the upcoming world juniors?

Apparently he is now measured at 5'9" ... how much rounding up is going in here is anyone's guess. The kid has talent, no doubt.

Now, some people are suggesting that he should switch the forward but I think it's a bit early to be planning that.
