DON
It may be a lower league for Collberg but it's still a pro (men's) league. 18 year olds don't routinely dominate that level. If he was back in junior and only had two points in six games, I'd admit there would be a bit of cause for concern but the Allsvenskan is still a decent level of competition. I can't seem to find any icetime data for Collberg with Orebro but I'd imagine he's not seeing premium minutes. Collberg has done well in U-20 competitions this year (5 goals already), it's numbers at that level that I'm most interested in. As for Thrower, he's starting to come around...at least he was until he suffered a lower body injury. His total performance is still below expectations but I'm hopeful that he can carry forward his improved play whenever he gets back from that injury (I don't think it's long-term). looked up some swedish stats crap and Filip Forsberg has 14 points in 19 games in same league, Collebrg has 2 in 6 games and vs juniors Collberg 5 goals in 6 games vs Forsberg with 3goals/4assists in same 6 games so both are fairly comparable and have to wait till world juniors to see how he looks. Alfredsson nor Sundin really tore up the SEL as youngsters neither and Alfredsson didnt start SEL till he was 19-20. Collberg is still of age for CHL next year, but is he more likely to stay in Sweden, or start playing in AHL as Zibanejad did this year? Machine of Loving Grace
Vail with 2 goals tonight Watched the game. Vail was quite good, won a lot of battles but he wasn't as good as Rychel who had a five point night.
DON
Super to see Nygren at a +7, as well as being the top scoring "youngish" d-man in the SEL. He is playing is way into a AHL contract for sure, i would assume he would come over to play in Hamilton if offered (but likely be a big pay cut vs any KHL offer)? Archambault has 8 points in last 3 games, is he playing with a little more focus or something now? good to see anyways.
dlbalr
So as you know if you've read in the thread already, I got to see the track meet between Sarnia and Barrie last night (it didn't resemble a hockey game a lot of times, there was a ton of skating though). I'll have a report of the game on the site later tonight focusing on Galchenyuk's play as well as some notes on a few players from either side. Rychel has been a disappointment most of the year (until last night). He better hope he turned a corner if he wants to be picked in the top
dlbalr
As promised, here is the Galchenyuk write-up. http://www.habsworld.net/article.php?id=2942
dlbalr
Collberg is off to a strong start today with a pair of goals. 5 points in 9 games now with Orebro. With Viktor Stalberg's deal set to expire in Frolunda though, I fear he'll be brought back to the SEL to reacquaint himself with the bench. Commandant
A good night for the rest of the Habs Prospects (outside the dogs). Another assist for Alex Galchenyuk, extending his point streak to 6 games (14 points). 2 goals for Archambault 2 goals for Dany Kristo. Another assist for Charles Hudon (plus a goal in the shootout). 1 g 3a for Bozon ending his cold streak 1 a for Dietz 1 g for Walsh 1 a for Didier
Commandant
Alex Galchenyuk not playing (flu), Sarnia Sting lose 9-2. Coincidence? Nope. Sarnia is not good team (not this bad either, but still)
Dalhabs
Allsvenskan is almost more competetive than Elitserien now with some teams really stacking up with NHL-players. Mora IK has Kopitar and soon Bobby Ryan as well. The thing is that the jump from the top teams to the bottom teams is really huge.
DON
Hudon at 1.4 PPG Bozon at 1.5 PPG AG at 1.6 PPG Hudon already mentioned as one player likely to be traded to a contender, Halifax//Quebec? Will Galchenyuk also be moved for pile of picks, as Sarnia is unlikely to contend this year?
Commandant
Amazingly Sarnia is in contention for first in the division. Hopefully they fall off and he's moved. Hudon, I'm not sure he's moved since he has next year too.
Commandant
Danny Kristo, WCHA player of the week, 5 points (3g 2a) in 2 games.
DON
Not saying alot; but, Dietz was best offensive player for Saskatoon yesterday and announcers said he stood out in last game as well. But, like Beaulieu he tries fancy moves that are impressive when work, but he earned the -2 for the game and his defensive game/decision making needs work for sure. sakiqc
Danny Kristo, WCHA player of the week, 5 points (3g 2a) in 2 games. Just noticed that he is playing on a line with another Habs prospect, Mark MacMillan http://www.habsworld.net/out.php?15903 McMillan was recently promoted to the first line and had 2g 1a in his first game with Kristo and Corbin Knight. DON
couple more useless stats; Habs have 7 kids playing in CHL, as a group averaging 1.1 PPG and last i checked Habs had the #1 group of CHLers for total offense.

Commandant
Erik Nystrom has been moved from Modo's J20 (under 20 team) to Karlskrona in the Allvenskan, taking a big step up in competition after scoring 20 points in 19 games in the junior league.
DON
Super for Nystrom, probably he and Vail are both still long shots for world juniors eh? Too bad Bozon wouldnt play for his country, even if your country's team sucks, still think he should do it, but dont know all his reasoning behind refusing to suit up? Nygren had another assist today and is top scoring "youngish" d-man in SEL
dlbalr
I'd say both are longshots, Nystrom more than Vail. As for Hudon, he received high praise from Canada's head scout, it's looking good so far for his World Juniors chances: http://www.lapresse.ca/sports/hockey-junior/201211/20/01-4595644-la-lhjmq-a-gagne-des-points.php

Nygren had another assist today and is top scoring "youngish" d-man in SEL I think Vail makes it. Yes he's a long shot, but I see him stealing a role as the checking centre. As for Bozon, I think he made the smart decision. France is not in the first division, they are playing in Division 2, the level of competition sucks and its not good for his development. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Habs were the ones who recommended he stay in the WHL. Nystrom? Not gonna happen unless big time injuries occur. Sweden is too deep at wing. Yet to see Vail play, he seems to have a super 2 way game, with bit of offensive upside; sort of like an American Bournival eh? For Bozon i heard something about development, but i didnt buy that, as really would a couple weeks matter at all? Anyways, Kamloops will be happy. Would be nice to see Blades playing them tonight, almost guaranteed win for Blazers, but Dietz will likley stand out again on a weak team with lots of injuries, would be nice to see Thrower back soon.
