22/24 saves for Fowler in 3-1 loss (empty netter).

Harris no points but Denver moves on while BC is eliminated

Now we see if Fowler wants to sign or go back for a third year of university

Kapanen's SHL team has been eliminated, paving the way for him to return to North America.  Whether that's with Montreal or Laval remains to be seen.  (Yes, Hughes said Laval at the trade deadline but does a strong playoff performance coupled with Roy and Beck previously not doing much change the plan?)

Also, a quick note that Makar Khanin had a 6-point game in the playoffs a couple of days back.  It was not a good season for him by any stretch but a 6-point game is a 6-point game.

Send Roy and Dobes to Laval.

Play Kapanen on the second line with Laine, Newhook.

Sign Fowler and ride him to the cup in 1986 style (he is probably going to Laval).

Care less about exactly where Kapanen plays than sending Pezzetta back upstairs and Roy going back to Laval, where he has established, successful relationships

I-M-O it would be best.

As I understand it (AIUI), if he signs doesn't "burn a year" from his ELC unless he plays an NHL game ... and that won't happen unless the Habs are eliminated.

I’m not against this route at all.

More development time is great

Interesting that there is no mention of what Fowler wants ... agents don't get $$$ until a contract is signed and will always want to burn a year.

I dont think burning a year is in a goalies best jnterest.  Getting to a second contract after one year of AHL isnt necessarily best

Michael Hage on Developing as a Center, Nick Suzuki and His Relationship with Montreal

“It’s about making an impact on every game you play. I want to play down the middle, and to do that you need to be more defensively responsible and stronger as a whole,” said Hage in an exclusive interview with RG. “When you look at the way (Nick) Suzuki plays, he’s impacting the game and the Canadiens’ offense flows through him. That’s the kind of impact I want to have.”

Back to Back Calder Winners?

I don't want another 09 where I thought the stars aligned, but they are starting to align here i think.

1. Slaf Suzuki Caufield

2. Laine ( true 2nd line centre) Demidov

3. Dach Newhook Gallagher/Anderson

4. Heineman Evans Gallagher/Anderson

* Kapanen * Beck

Ghule Hutson

Matheson Carrier

Struble Reinbacher

*Xhekaj *Engstrom

Monty

Dobes or Fowler or Primeau

And Fowler in 2016-17? 🤪

Let's find a way to get first overall in 2016 and draft Gavin McKenna, cause he's winning the 2017 trophy.

4-3 OT win for SKA so they stay alive. Demidov 1g+1a in 22:59 TOI, the highest of all SKA forwards.

I think Matthews is going to win the 2017 Calder but time will tell or maybe it already has?  LOL
