In 1 game i saw he also seemed slow'ish' and was easily last man back on couple plays. Reminded me of Gallagher struggling to keep up. OK production for a freshman. Quote
dlbalr Posted November 12 Posted November 12 The skater who stands out to me from that screenshot is Logan Sawyer. He didn't have a great freshman year so to see him hovering near a point per game in the early going is encouraging. So is Merrill who is just in his first college year this season and didn't exactly light up the scoresheet last season. Quote

dlbalr Posted November 23 Posted November 23 I'm a little surprised that's not an AHL deal. He doesn't qualify for veteran status this season (he will next year) but he's a serviceable bottom-six AHL forward and has been for a while. It wouldn't shock me to see him with Laval at some point. Quote

Strange that Teasdale seemingly could only get a 25-26 contract with Spisska Nova Ves HK in the Slovak Extraliga, and then left after only 8 games for an ECHL contract? Might there be a story there explaining why the organization wants to get a first-hand look at him for a bit before committing to an AHL contract? Quote

He's tied with two teammates for the lead. And, notably, he's playing less per game (15 minutes and change) than last season. Quote
DON Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Hage & Horcoff are looking good together. 6'5" Horcoff stands out and might be a good pick at 24 for Pens. I guess biggest question might be can he do it at NHL speed. Quote

When you're a top team and winning most games handily, you don't need to be overworking the top line; it's a good time to roll four and get some of the depth players some extra run. I suspect as the games get tougher (fewer freebies in the back half of the season), Hage's minutes will go up a bit. 2 Quote
dlbalr Posted December 1 Posted December 1 LJ Mooney is on USA's preliminary World Junior roster. It looks like they have one forward to cut from that initial group and he's someone that appears to be on the borderline of making it or not. Quote
