No way do I sit a guy capable of producing, and who has contributed offensively in key situations like KK, on an offensively starving team. I’d sit Stall if Evans is ready to go.

Yeah it’s a tough call. Evans has been so good and with the way Lehkonen is playing, you can’t remove him.

KK seems like the reasonable choice and I think he is having a tough time against Vegas. Evans does not have KK’s skill but he makes up for it through effort.

IDK 🤷‍♀️

This team should be completely vaxxed by now.

Makes me wonder if we’ll be short handed in the Cup finals due to flat earthers, Chem trail lunatics and anti vaxxers lurking on the team.

Armia also had covid back in February.  So its not impossible to get it again even if you had it and are fully vaxxed.  Its rare but possible.

Its also possible that he had a false positive and flies to tampa himself.

So, it appears that they haven't actually said that Armia has COVID-19. Unless I missed it. So, there are, I think, three possibilities:

  • Armia has COVID-19, and will basically be out for the series
  • Armia had a false positive test; in that case he will effectively need three days of negative tests to exit the protocol. In this case he would likely be able to join for Game 2
  • Armia had close contact with a COVID-positive person; in this case, I believe he will need two (or three?) consecutive negative tests to exit the protocol, and again he might be able to rejoin for Game 2

In all of the above cases, though, he still needs to be isolating today, so he would not have been able to join the team on the flight to Tampa.

Let's see if we can get some clarity from Bergevin yet later today.

Armia is on his way to Tampa! Apparently he does not have COVID-19, although we have no details on what actually happened.

I have heard his girlfriend got covid and he was considered a close contact.  So he needed to test negative multiple times to be cleared.

That makes sense, thanks. Although I do believe they got married -- or was it just engaged?

Evans in a navy blue sweater ... only Hab wearing one.

Armia skating with Staal&Parry

So seems most likely Armia in for Evans ... absent the need for other "game-time decisions"

Each line is given different color sweaters cause if the coaches want to do a drill where one line plays against another line... they already have different colors.

Evans having a different color was cause he wasnt part of any line.  A healthy scratch.

  • 2 weeks later...

Interesting, Renaud Lavoie is saying the Drouin wants to return to the Habs, but Arpon Basu and Marc Antoine-Godin both said on The Athletic Support podcast that Drouin would rather move on from Montreal. All 3 aren't known for speaking out of turn, so I don't know what's going on.

Price has undergone knee surgery with a recovery period of 10-12 weeks.  His hip was also assessed but it was ruled that no surgery for that injury was necessary.

Damn that kind of came out of nowhere. We all knew that he was seeing specialists but surgery today?

Great that he will be back for the season

It leaked over the weekend he was going to see a specialist with surgery expected soon after.  Bergevin said yesterday he was going to be out at least 6-8 weeks with some sort of cleanup procedure pending.  The appointment was Thursday so it makes sense that surgery was done right away.

🏽 NY
The last couple months have been crazy and stress levels have been at an all time high. Playoffs, the expansion draft and then the unknown of Carey’s knee surgery on top of the stressors of every day life in a COVID world...it’s all felt like a lot.

Carey and I were in NY for his surgery, we went in with a lot of unknown, luckily coming out of surgery the doctor said everything was best case scenario given the circumstance 😅 His rehab and having another person to take care of I’m sure will have it’s challenges but feeling like it’s finally time to just relax, decompress and mentally start preparing for our return to Montréal for the next hockey season here in a couple weeks.

Even though this trip was far from a vacation it was nice to get away without the kids, have a date night (first one since Aug 2019), sleep in, and to be able to just reflect on the last couple months.

Now back to normal life and back to my babies

I initially thought Drouin might find things a lot easier being traded away, but I changed my mind about that. He is right to give us a chance to be real fans and support the hell out of him. I hope he stays and has a lot of fun.

She is the only thing I dislike about CP31.

Saw on media reports a day or so before this that she’d “announced” that she’d be posting something like this.

Sound the trumpets, hockey wife is going to speak for her husband. I wish she would stop  acting like his agent.

good points, I hope we see him as a Hab next year as well and hope we see the best of him (as we’ve seen samples of).

Need the LW depth, and creativity.

He and Anderson play off each other well.  KK has shown increased desire to be a shooter so perhaps Drouin setting him up and Anderson driving the net could be a solid line.

Let CC stay with Suzuki and Toff.

Youre right... women should be seen and not heard.  How dare she use social media to post about her life in the way the rest of the world does?

Jesus christ, this place has become ####ing toxic.

Agreed. My wife really likes reading her updates. As far as the post itself, it's not like it was unknown Price was going in for knee surgery.
