Hate to say this, but Suzuki is 100% carrying a knock of some kind. Lacks the pop of earlier in the year and is definitely not moving as quickly.

And with these injuries he absolutely will not take even a couple of games off to get back to even close to 100% ... sigh

Sad for Dach as he was starting to look like a player, but I am not convinced he should be slammed for getting hurt as he did it blocking a shot (exactly like Gally last year). At least he got in the way, unlike Veleno who become 2-Dimensional when tries to block anything.

Suzuki is barely practicing and taking therapy days on the regular.  Hes definitely hurt.

Our centre depth is really in trouble now.

It’s ironic, because with the unexpected emergence of Kapanen and the gradual improvement of Dach, we were actually starting to look OK down the middle. Now…yikes.

If Kampf had waited ONE day he might have seen a role with Montreal

They went after him but I don't think they'd have offered more than a fourth line slot even with the Dach injury.  I suspect Vancouver will play him higher that in the short term.

Therapy day is better than being announced as injured.

Although I wouldn’t be surprised if injury  announcement is coming

Expect he is being "tested" to determine the exact nature of what kept him out after he briefly returned last night.

Concussion protocol.

He might end up missing the Toronto game tomorrow as well, even if everything is OK.

I agree, but didn't want to assume ... could be a neck or shoulder issue, although concussion usually makes the most sense after such hits

Seems like “evidence” that Wilson elbowed Evans in the head

Perhaps player safety should review the tape

Evans also bit prone to making himself vulnerable isnt he, but i couldnt tell if bad hit or not and didnt watch a replay.

No great angle that shows the hit ideally (i.e., in profile)

Davidson is the one who was double-teamed by Laughton and McCann by the side of the net ... if he can't play Wednesday in Utah the Habs still only have 13 forwards ... is Roy who they want to take west in that case?

They had Roy as the 13th forward for most of the Western Canada road trip so I suspect they'd be okay with doing that again even though it's not ideal from a prospect playing time standpoint.

Dach isn’t scheduled to return until late February - 3 months from now

Very, very slow drills being done so clearly no imminent return but if he is skating now then he must be ahead of schedule ?

At this point, with Dach I don't think there should ever be a "schedule" ...take rehab one step at a time, very slowly, and see what happens.

Would explain his lack of production

Indeed. Our bottom end FW and D have been fairly disastrous, on the whole, and a hobbled Evans would be a big part of that
