GHT120 Posted April 26 Posted April 26 The issue (obviously) will be the strength in Dobson's hand ... do they play him if he can only minimally handle the puck and he is dressing mostly for a defensive role ... it would not only risk re-injury but also dangerous turnovers if Dobson reflexively tries to make a play with the puck that his hand doesn't allow him to execute ... the re-injury risks depends entirely on what the original injury was ... it could be anything from re-aggravating a strain to tearing a ligament/tendon. tomh009 Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Sure, yes. But at this point I have confidence in the Habs' medical staff--and we know that Hughes has his focus on long-term contention, not this year's playoffs, so he is unlikely to push for an early return if it is risky. Quote
Prime Minister Koivu Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Light passing drills with Matheson, Dobson Going to be a while yet Quote
Commandant Posted April 28 Author Posted April 28 I heard Dobson was taking wrist shots (tsn 690) Quote
xXx..CK..xXx Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Yeah, I just saw video of him taking some wrist shots & snap shots. I think he’s back somewhat soon, depending on the score of our series. Quote
tomh009 Posted April 29 Posted April 29 With a maximum of three games left in the series, that seems pretty unlikely. Next round, assuming we get past Tampa. Quote

xXx..CK..xXx Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Dobson took part in the optional skate today wearing a modified glove. Quote

johnnyhasbeen Posted May 30 Posted May 30 I expect this thread gets pretty busy over the next couple days. Dobson was obviously not 100%, Slaf was hurt since that hit in round 1, Ghule obviously. How many others? Quote
GHT120 Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Suzuki - thigh Slafkovsky - shoulder and leg Dobson - couldn't close his hand (THAT we knew) Hutson - shoulder. Quote
dlbalr Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Dach wasn't fully recovered from his late-season injury, that one I know for sure. I don't think Texier ever got back to 100% from his midseason injury either but that one is more speculation. Guhle's an obvious one and I think Caufield had something as well. Wouldn't be shocked if there are more. Quote
