Guest Stogey24
He said Monday that he figured he was two or three practices away so I think he'll be available for Game 1. Moen is probably a good guy to have in against the Bruins, but I seriously hope it doesn't come at the expense of losing Bournival. Speed and a quick transition game is what's going to beat the bruins.

Also, what are we gonna do with Galchenyuk? We can't just let him sit in the playoffs! The kid needs to gain this valuable experience! He's been decent in the playoffs but nothing to keep Moen on the sidelines. Galchenyuk will likely replace Weise.
JCPetit
Bournival is a great asset for the team. I believe that he is probably the fastest skater and has good hockey sense. On the other hand, Moen would be useful against the Bruins. There aren't many players on the team who can play his gritty style of game. Not an easy decision for Therrien. As for Chucky, he is not ready to play anyway. If it comes to that and the Habs are still alive, I guess that he should be aable to fill in. I'm hoping he continues his strong play, but won't be holding my breath expecting him to keep it going.

Just skated yesterday or the day beforei think you guys are really being overly optimistic about Bourque. It's pretty crazy how different this team looks though with Bourque actually playing as power forward.

They said Mellanby had a heart to heart talk with Bourque before playoffs and maybe helped to 'fire' him up?

hab29RETIRED
any idea when Galchenyuk is available?? He'd be a great option over Moen, Bournival and Prust right now.
dlbalr
any idea when Galchenyuk is available?? He'd be a great option over Moen, Bournival and Prust right now. He has skated two or three times, nothing with the team and no contact. I don't think he's available at all this round; if he is, it'll be really late in the series. He has a ways to go yet. DON
Murray is the wrong choice. Tinner or better yet Nathan should be the guy coming in. I disagree, Murray seems to be born to play vs Bruins-type team. And if not him then Tinordi is 2nd best (or maybe best of bunch). But Beaulieu just isn't near as good as he thinks he is.
dreegking
Prust was out. Good choice. Bad last game. Something is wrong. Just not gritty or fluid. Moen was the right choice the other day. Looked sluggish and needed more time to find his groove. MT is making all the right choices IMO. No way is Weisse being left out. Bournival has been solid the last two games as well. I could easily see Briere getting some pine soon, when Prust is ready. Get Murray off the ice, until Boston shows they have "lost it". Which will be after the next game and a loss. I think Murray was good last night. Sure its tough when we get pinned in our own end with him on the ice but I think its wrong to put all the blame on him. Its not like that is NOT happening with the other bottom6 D-pairings we've had.
Machine of Loving Grace
I think Murray had something like 22 Bruins shots against last night (completed shots, missed shots, blocked shots) when he was on the ice. That's a disaster waiting to happen. Some of the hits he threw were fantastic but I wouldn't call him good. He was definitely the sixth defenceman. I would have liked to see Tinordi instead, but maybe that's just optimism. It's the sixth defenceman. What team has a really good sixth defenceman? There is no upside to bringing Tinordi in right now. Especially since he hasn't played since. April.
dlbalr
Galchenyuk again skated before practice today, not with the rest of the team. If he can't practice with them yet, I think you can safely rule out any thought that he'll play in this series.
