Natural Mystic
Most excellent GDT. For some reason, it's always interesting to watch the Habs play in the face of adversity. The two game loosing streak must be snapped! Far too many injuries, I hope some of those players start reintegrating with the lineup soon. lazy26
Cammalleri wasn't at the morning skate. Lines were: Pacioretty-Plekanec-Gionta Darche-Desharnais-Cole Palushaj-Eller-Moen Blunden-Nokelainen-Weber

Colin
No wonder Palushaj was recalled. I suspect there was some concern over Cammi so cover had to be recalled.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
I think Cammy has a history of rushing himself back from injury. He is consistently unproductive after returning. These jerks need to win tonight. Watch them pull a no-show. Or else Price will suddenly decide to have a bad outing. Or else we'll hit 400 goal posts. Or else we'll run into a 'hot goalie.' Or else the ref will irrationally decide to kill us with penalties. Or else Subban, MaxPac, Gionta and Price will all go down with massive MCL tears. Etc., etc., etc., etc.. JMMR
Felling great about tonight I think it will be a big win and a great game. Someone will have 3 or 4 points and the team will play great!
illWill
Wow, that's alot of injuries. A little north of $22 million sitting in the pressbox. I wouldn't be too disappointed with a loss tonight. Can we ever have a healthy lineup? Ever?
BlueKross
Boo-hoo, boo-hoo. Everyone has got injuries. Man Up and play. We could end up the night at 29th overall. Disgraceful. May be time to cut off another foot.

May be time to cut off another foot. I don't think anyone stated we aren't manning up to play. In fact, I think the team is doing admirably well. They've sucked it up where other teams have packed it in to tank and go for draft picks. That there are a lot of injuries is a statement of fact, not a complaint. The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Well, there's always the extraordinary exception of the Penguins. Imagine us with no Pleks AND no Gomez. But yeah...you take out two defencemen (one of which is the #1 guy and PP general), their best scorer and another top-6 winger, not to mention a fast-skating 3rd centreman (The $7 Million Waste) that's gonna hurt most teams. And I do think the Habs have been unusually unlucky with injuries to key players, although I have yet to see that quantified (assuming it could be). Now there's a project for some ambitious blogger. EDIT: still the Coyotes are basically shite, and a team with Pleks, Gio, MaxPac, Cole and Subban SHOULD be able to do some damage against them. Stop hitting the frigging post or missing the net and PRODUCE.

It's getting tiring seeing Eller playing with scrubs or green horns. Hell I'd rather have Weber on his line then Moen - at least Weber can shoot. Hell I'd rather have Weber on his line then Moen - at least Weber can shoot. With this much of a depleted lineup, I can understand it more. You need quality players on each line or you're going to get demolished. Have to make the opposition respect each trio. In this particular situation, it may be a sign of respect; all things being equal, you would probably get other wingers with Eller. Things are not equal, but you can't give easy shifts to the opposition, they have to be defensively aware.

dlbalr
Anyone else think the Moen-Eller-Palushaj line has the potential to do more damage than the '2nd line' of Darche-Desharnais-Cole one?
Lovett's Magnatones
Excited to watch tonites game...CentreIce package best decision i've made in while. Emelin is in, which should only sweeten the deal. I really hope he gets his chance to play with Markov, it would really help his confidence, and he deserves his shot. I think they are both crap lines. Why not just put Cole-Eller-DD together, have two lines with some potential instead of 3 crap lines. Why not just put Cole-Eller-DD together, have two lines with some potential instead of 3 crap lines. I wouldn't go that far as to say that myself. I'm intrigued to see Palushaj actually get to play with at least one player who knows where the offensive zone is. Also, as to why Eller and Desharnais can't play together, there's only 4 C's dressed so they need to be apart.
Colin
Anyone else think the Moen-Eller-Palushaj line has the potential to do more damage than the '2nd line' of Darche-Desharnais-Cole one? For the three times those lines are together, it should be an interesting comparison. I'd like to see a Moen - Eller - Cole line (banger, attacker, power forward), but that would leave the other three sitting for a very long period of time. Is this the type of game where DD may get a little more space to move? To answer your question, yes, I think the former has much more than the latter. I'm sure Cole is miffed. He's been our best skater over the last six or seven games.
