With that defence corps we continue to be dead meat walking. The only way we win tonight is with luck, ace netminding, and a ferocious team effort, especially in our own zone. All hands on deck, boys!

This will be the story of David and Goliath. Like you CC I don't anticipate a fairy tale ending.

Yeah. And maybe you ought to change your name to Red Cross, considering the state of things.

I'm just waiting for the howls of outrage and criticism when the Habs do lose... :rolleyes:

Despite the Rangers being the hottest team in the league and the Habs injury woes, it's not out of the realm of possibility to see a Montreal win. The last few years the Habs have got the better of them. It's just one of those match-ups that stylistically favor us, IMO. Even the last game where we had a ridiculous amount of penalties, we could have still won. I'm saying this game is a coin flip.

Well, Subban and Gorges have had more than enough rest. I expect 30-35 of fully effective minutes from each. Anything less would be a complete embarrassment for them. And that's how we'll win this game easily - rely on our top two defenders.

</somewhat tongue in cheek>

Crap, Biron is in net. I figured it would be Lundqvist, and put that into my preview article. :-(

Beauty goal for Cole !!

A power play goal too ! I'm liking the Cole-Pacioretty combo more and more!

I'm getting the Montreal CBC feed, through Bell TV.

How come the game isn't on CBC in Montreal? I'm getting the Laughs game instead...

Well there's no denying he struggled early in the season. But few were considering that he was adjusting to a new city, new coach, new system, new linemates [several]. The power play snub was a bit unusual, since most coaches tend to give a struggling veteran forward some time on the PP to help get back on track. Regardless, he's playing very well lately, meeting my expectations.

Remember when signing Cole was a mistake and he was a bust without Eric Staal?
