The Chicoutimi Cucumber
With that defence corps we continue to be dead meat walking. The only way we win tonight is with luck, ace netminding, and a ferocious team effort, especially in our own zone. All hands on deck, boys! The Chicoutimi Cucumber
I don't find that surprising at all. Why NOT rest your starter when this walking hospital comes to town?
Commandant
Biron gets the somewhat surprise nod for the Rangers. Lundqvist's numbers in the Bell Centre are horrendous.... and Birons are good.

And maybe you ought to change your name to Red Cross, considering the state of things. I'm just waiting for the howls of outrage and criticism when the Habs do lose... illWill
Despite the Rangers being the hottest team in the league and the Habs injury woes, it's not out of the realm of possibility to see a Montreal win. The last few years the Habs have got the better of them. It's just one of those match-ups that stylistically favor us, IMO. Even the last game where we had a ridiculous amount of penalties, we could have still won. I'm saying this game is a coin flip.
Colin
Well, Subban and Gorges have had more than enough rest. I expect 30-35 of fully effective minutes from each. Anything less would be a complete embarrassment for them. And that's how we'll win this game easily - rely on our top two defenders. </somewhat tongue in cheek>
JGC21
I think whenever these two teams meet, I'm going to curse the Rangers lineup with McDonagh as a top two d-man. When was the last time Gomez scored...
Commandant
Gomez's last goal was against the rangers.

habscout
Well there's no denying he struggled early in the season. But few were considering that he was adjusting to a new city, new coach, new system, new linemates [several]. The power play snub was a bit unusual, since most coaches tend to give a struggling veteran forward some time on the PP to help get back on track. Regardless, he's playing very well lately, meeting my expectations. Remember when signing Cole was a mistake and he was a bust without Eric Staal?
