Oh oh. Me first (and the gimme gimme's).

We lose. Epic Loss. Everyone is fired. Everyone is sent to the minors. Hamilton takes our place and wins the Cup.

Canucks are banged up. That helps us. Strangely, we match up well against these guys and I think I know why - they play an east-west, speed and skill game that suits us. Not to say we'll win, of course - this year confidence is the last thing Habs fans should possess

Some assumptions about tonight's game:

1) JM will shorten the bench and take a few risks - he knows he/the team needs to win. I expect LL to get a chance on the third line, Gorges and Subban to eat up monster minutes, AK to be back at the point on the PP.

2) Max Pac to score, ditto Cams - I'm expecting close to playoff level intensity from the Habs. They must be getting desperate.

3) They will come out flying, and, hopefully, score early, shaking Luongo's fragile ego.

4) Carey to shutout the Nucks, or come close to doing so.

don't see this happening. We'll play better and it will be a close game but no shutout, no flying......just #boom

I'll say this, if we mess the bed at home twice in a row, those rumours of a shakeup might turn out to be more than rumours. Just from a business perspective, they cannot keep sucking ass on home ice.

I expect to see Gill with Diaz and St. Denis with Emelin.... to keep more D in their natural positions.

Doesn't seem like that will be the way to start at least:

Habs fans can expect to see Frederic St-Denis back in the lineup Thursday night. As many of the Canadiens’ less-experienced D-men often find themselves doing, St-Denis will be skating alongside Hal Gill for his eighth game in the NHL. With Gill boasting over than 1,000 more games in the league than St-Denis, the rookie rearguard knows exactly where to go for advice.

I expect a high goal total. With a target on his back and more and more rumors about a shake-up, Martin needs to take chances. I expect us to open up, lay off the defensive game a bit. Martin can't afford another lackluster game or even another loss.

Either we're gonna get scored on alot or both teams are gonna score alot. I'm predicting a 5-3 game, not sure for who.

Go Habs Go!

I expect we see the real team tonight and we could win. We won't if we don't take shots or use Luongo for target practice though. Shoot at net, not goalie or posts. The simple things we are not doing.

Why the heck isn't PK rushing more often? I am getting sick of him carrying the puck like the wind as far as the opposing blueline and then dumping it. Frustrating to watch. Also, isn't he suppose to be a shoot out wizard? I have yet to see him take a shootout at the NHL level.

I can't wrap my mind around why JM doesn't switch Leblanc for Moen. Moen may have potted a few goals but he's still a fourth-liner. Leblanc is just being wasted on the 4th line and we are lucky enough to have an offensively-minded 3rd line he would fit onto perfectly.

Leblanc should be in the AHL. Kid has talent, but needs major work to gain strenght, and also needs to work on his cardio as he seems gassed after 20-25 seconds of a shift.

Not surprising though because his offseason workouts were probably limited by the shoulder surgery/rehab.

But he's not an NHL third liner today.

I've been watching hockey a long time and there are few players I've seen take a step backwards as badly as has Weber. He shouldn't just sit tonight, he should do wind sprints for the duration of the game, he's been so bad.
