dlbalr
The Bulldogs (13-21-1-5) return to action after a 4-day layoff as they travel to Lake Erie to take on the suddenly surging Lake Erie Monsters (23-16-2-1), winners of 4 straight and 8 of their last 10 despite playing a lot of guys on PTO's. Michael Blunden is expected to return to the lineup after being sent down by Montreal earlier this week. My guess is that Tyler Murovich will sit to make room for him. Projected Hamilton Lines: Bournival - Tenute - Holland Blunden - Dumont - Leblanc Quailer - Chaput - Lefebvre Hagel - Fortier - Stortini St. Denis - DeSantis Tinordi - Ellis Beaulieu - Corbin Desjardins Projected Lake Erie Lines: (based on previous +/- data) Connolly - Sgarbossa - ThomasAgozzino - Carey - van der Gulik Tassone - Sutherby - Strong MacQueen - Steffes - Henley Pock - Lauridson Gaunce - Chouinard Stollery - Beaupre Pickard Puck drop is at 7:30 PM, Funny820 as always will have the play-by-play; click the banner below to listen. JCPetit
Pateryn must be close to a return. It won't hurt when he will be back.
dlbalr
Pateryn must be close to a return. It won't hurt when he will be back. He (and Palushaj who is with the team while on the Habs' IR) both skated today and should be back soon. Early in the 3rd, it's 1-0 Hamilton, Dumont with the lone goal - unassisted and shorthanded. dlbalr
The Bulldogs decided to try to sit on a 1-0 lead. Does that ever work? 9 minutes in, the shots are 9-1 Lake Erie and they've tied the game on the PP.
dlbalr
Still 1-1, now in the shootout.
dlbalr
The strangest thing happened...Desjardins actually played well in the shootout, stopping 8/9 shots while Chaput scored the winner in the 9th round to give the Bulldogs a rare shootout win. http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1010494 The victory snaps Hamilton's 5-game losing streak, their 10-game losing streak on the road, and Desjardins' personal 11-game winless drought.
