Losing Briere doesn't exactly help our cap situation...

They can still pull off one more recall without touching LTIR. It requires several other roster moves but I can think of one way that they could get a replacement up and have a full roster without LTIR.

The one thing we lack on the team is a true faceoff specialist. Faceoffs are one of those things that are really underrated it seems. The importance on winning faceoffs is huge since you don't need to try and win back puck procession

So far, they're hanging on against a tough Nashville team at the dot (50% through 2). Adding a specialist is never a bad idea though, it's one of the reasons I wouldn't have mind if Halpern came back (he's with Phoenix's AHL team now). Also, welcome to the boards.

lol Eight games in the finnish league. Four goals and 30 PIM's.

Nashville has done a good job of taking away the shot from the point on the PP and we aren't adjusting. Galchenyuk is also taking too many shots from bad angles.

The call on the ice should stand. Toronto can't see what happened

For some reason, the explanation was that the call by the four officials was that it is no goal. Bullshit call, since the ref behind the net - the only one who had any chance of seeing it called it a goal.

ref #5, getting lots of camera time, said all 4 officials didn't see puck cross goalline, but he pointed to it as a goal, seems odd?

But it didn't look like a goal anyways.

I'm still angry about that no goal.

The ref on the ice clearly signalled goal.

The replays were inconclusive

We go back to the ref and he says the replay was inconclusive and the call on the ice was no goal.

NO IT WASN'T. THE CALL ON THE ICE WAS GOAL

I hope Carey goes into the lockerroom after the game and tells everybody how much they suck and then showers, goes home, eats a Ben & Jerry and watch Big Bang Theory.

Wait, why does he do in defeat what I do in victory?

Impossible to see on any replay. I dont think that puck crossed the line. Im happy De La Rose is playing for a better hockeyteam in Sweden than this bunch of lazy coasters. They make Kovalev look like a workhorse.

Came out slow... Couldn't handle the Nashville D with our small forwards. Lose the game as a result of the winger failing to clear the zone, again.

Price did all he could, but just nothing in front of him.

Do you really think we are going far this season with so many under performing smurfs and one line? If they don't get off their butts soon we are going to slump badly. You can't expect one line and a goalie to win it for you most nights.

What is Therrien thinking????

We had a faceoff in the Preds zone with 72 seconds left but he won't pull Price until we gain control???

Of course, the faceoff was scrummed and the puck fought for along the board for 10 seconds before Nashville got it and cleared the zone. We never got control of the puck in their zone for the rest of the game. Even if we lose the faceoff with 72 seconds left we still are better off with 6 skaters.

Time to give McCarron his Jr tryout?

That can only happen in an emergency situation (less than 12 healthy forwards). One might exist if Briere or Prust can't go next game but even then, his recall would take the Habs into LTIR (which they're likely trying to avoid). Also, McCarron isn't playing all that well at the moment; he has been demoted to the 3rd line.
