I wonder what teams who ice 7 d-men record is, +/-?

Always, seems like a git of gong show double shifting this forward or that one and mixing/matching d-pairs from one shift to another?

But, a win would be nice roll going into break.

However; I know some would then just say, they beat up 3 chump teams and meaningless.

Still waiting for #6 to get his first goal....tonight maybe?

I'm starting to really like Murray. He's fit in well. Tonight would be awesome if he scored.

I would have went with Drewskie instead but Therrien is still convinced he can make Cube look like a dependable PP2 guy.

Drewskie is not cleared to play.

He still is on IR (despite some reports earlier this week that he was taken off).

does anyknow or have an update on the other young D in the system (Hamilton).

Tinordi

Pateryn

Ellis

Nygren

anyone else?

- Tinordi is developing slower than expected.

- Pateryn picked up where he left off last year and has become Hamilton's go-to guy on the back end.

- Ellis just got hurt but has had a quietly solid season.

- Nygren went home and has badmouthed Hamilton several times (between his time there and since then). He's eligible for recall but the Habs will burn through any other recall option first I would think.

- Dietz hasn't had much of an impact this year, his season reminds me a lot of Ellis' rookie campaign.

What do you think the cause of Tinordi's slow developement is?

In what I ve seen of him in the NHL he has looked good for a rookie.

Going on stats alone, it looks like Pateryn has progressed nicely since his AHL rookie season last year

Most d-men take a while to develop; Beaulieu for that matter still has a lot of work to do so it could be as simple as getting more game action. Tinordi looked alright last year but got exposed quickly, we saw that even in some of the preseason games. NHL'ers are a lot quicker than minor leaguers, I'd say a big step in Tinordi's development will be using his size more efficiently, such as angling off speedier players. That takes a while to figure out. The Habs seem to have asked him to play tougher too, that part of his game has been more prevalent the last couple of months.

thanks - so other then Beaulieu, Pateryn looks to be next then Tinordi? is it potential they could play this year or hopefully next year. is Pateryn physical?

Pateryn has been asked to 'finish checks' and up his physical game, he is making odd big hit lately, as well as big shot from point.

Odds are that injury call up (trade?) will likely give he or Tinordi a chance in March-April.

Briere with 3 shots already.
