Habs30/31
Habs need a good road win over a hot team. Islanders just beat Hawks, Devils, Wings on a fout game winning streak. Halak vs Price. Should be a good game! Habs opening shift against sens was great the other night. Chucky line should start again.
zumpano21
Looks like Johnson gets the start for the Isles. Was looking forward to the epic, 1v1, former hab playoff hero pitted against the Franchise.
habs rule
Would be nice to see some free wings at Le Cage tonite. Little too far for me to go but the goals are nice. Halak getting chased would have been great. Wanta see Galchenyuk and Patches put up big points tionite.

dlbalr
Price in for the habs I assume? Yep, Price is in. As it turns out, Halak won't even dress tonight for the Isles.
Toronthab
Yep, Price is in. As it turns out, Halak won't even dress tonight for the Isles. Is that legal? Maybe he'll just hide in the locker room...
Dalhabs
Islanders looking great so far... To bad thats the wrong team.
Dalhabs
Whats the odds for us not getting a shot on goal in the first?
Toronthab
Looked.. from the little I saw like Emelin got caught standing still setting up the 2 on 1. 'bout right? We ever lost to Brooklyn before? Don't seem right.. Montreal losing to Booklyn... Not a bad PP. Gally came real close.
DON
Tavares got lucky break on puck for 2-on-1 But hard for Habs to score with no shots on net. Gilbert playing like he wants to get waived once again?
Dalhabs
Poor Islanders. Such a great period and only one goal. Theyre screwed now. We will win 3-1.
Toronthab
Shots 3-3... but theirs had a 1 in front of their 3.... Poor Islanders. Such a great period and only one goal. Theyre screwed now. We will win 3-1. Brilliant strategy to let them feel good by letting them score and pretending it wasn't part of our trap... How come you guys ain't out shopping?? Chris
What an awful period. It looks like they are already on xmas break. I wouldn't Tavares was lucky, I would say Andraghetto is incredibly soft. I'm not sure which they had more of, shots, hits or battles won. Each less than 5 I'm sure. Toronthab
Shopping? Hahahaha... my family has really cut back on Christmas shopping... we send some money to folks who need it and stopped the frenzy I used to get into.
dlbalr
Something to keep an eye on, it looks like Parenteau and Prust have switched places. Parenteau's last 3 shifts came with the Plekanec line. I'd say that's probably the highlight of the first period for the Habs...
Habs30/31
What a drag to see its THIS habs team tonight. Powerplay for first 90 seconds pleks, dd, parenteau (has that ever even been a line)..... not a shot. nice Gonchar and emelin paired together have fast young forwards drooling. Toronthab
Is Douglas Murray better handling a puck then Emelin? This is probably totally unfair.. but I was expecting quite a bit more from Emelin.. for no particular reason...cargo cult syndrome perhaps.. Maybe it just looks like hard work to me. They work hard. On the road mt does not even attempt to match lines. Some opposing coaches will turn that into gold. Not like the habs have been shut down on the shot clock on the road. Especially in the first. Count on another marathon night for pk and markov
DON
I am a Murray fan, but would/should never pass him the puck, same as Emelin. Just stick to what got you to the NHL, keep it simple, shot puck around boards and out, hit people hard and often
