This seems a bit surprising, given that he is in a 'glamour' market and is captain of hockey's most prestigious franchise. My guess would be that his bland personality, combined with the presence on the team of superstars Price and Subban, has kept him quietly under the radar (not unlike Pavelski, actually). Since 12-13, 11 points in 17 games with two game winning goals. Second in scoring in the last playoffs behind Subban (7 in 11) Basically nothing great but nothing bad. It's hard to say he hasn't had playoff success, easier to say he hasn't been a playoff superstar. He's just scored at his regular pace.
