HABS VS RANGERS PLAYOFFS GAME 2 THREAD FRIDAY APRIL 14TH @ 7PM

Since the Habs are going to win this evening, I decided it would be a good idea for me to take over game thread duties for my first time ever. That way, I'll be able to make a few more after today. The Habs play their second straight game at home and hope to get some redemption after getting shutout in game 1.

Who knows, maybe they will score tonight.

The weird thing is that Washington, San Jose and Boston all came back and won after giving up the first goal. I guess it can be done.

Go Habs Go:1gohabs: we need an early goal and then remind Lunquist why his Bell Centre experiences have usually been great--for Montreal

This is the single most important game of the Bergevin era - so far. A loss, and the team is facing grim death in the teeth, confronting dire questions about whether this core will ever become contenders. A win, and we've probably got ourselves the long series that everyone expected, and belief in this group remains viable.

Nice thread CK

And yes this is a massive game and I also share the good feeling about it

Thanks illWill. If memory serves me right, your first game thread brought our team luck so here's to believing it will do the same here.

Big game indeed. I'm already feeling it and we're 150 minutes away.

Byron misses a breakaway and then Grabner scores on a breakaway soon after.

Low IQ Nate makes another stupid decision to dive for the puck rather than bust ass back...ffs.

That pass back was no gem either, but shouldn't have dove

So sick of Gary Galley already
