SERIES RECAP

Game 1: New York 2 (Empty Net Goal) – 0 Montreal

Unlikely hero Tanner Glass scores the game winner with a backhand top corner

Grabner seals the deal late with an empty net goal

Game 2: Montreal 43 New York (Overtime)

Habs go up 2-1 in the first period only to lose the lead later in the game

Plekanec ties the game up with less than 25 seconds in regulation and Radulov seals the deal late in the first overtime

The Habs’ 58 shots were the most the New York Rangers have ever allowed in a playoff game. Thank you Bell Center shot counter bias

Sounds like Martinsen will sit for Mitchell. I'm not really sure of this fixation on King.

Chucky is back at centre

No idea, but the fourth line has much less speed without Martinsen. Mitchell is definitely better on defense, though. Julien probably wants to rotate him in to keep these guys fresh.

Emelin skated today in Brossard-that's a good update.

Love the lineup. Good feeling that fourth line scores today. And Davidson has been itching to get in so I'm hoping he has a great game!

GO HABS GO!

Lehkonen-galchenyuk-shaw is a great third line imo.

Last game was a top 5 favourite game I can remember watching (born in 93 so I had a rough prelockout experience lol)!

Hoping for more of that tonight!

You have my deepest sympathies, you missed all the great teams and only got to see crappy Habs hockey. Let's hope this year it changes.

He was on for a lot of goals against during the regular season. If we do get scored on tonight, I feel there's a good chance he'll be out there. I'm sure people feel similarly about Nesterov though.

Great pace to this game.  I like that the Habs are giving the Rangers very little to no time to do anything with the puck.

He had one of Montreal's better chances in the period.  I thought he looked fine in the first personally.

Yes, a great tip. He's been decent this game.

Montreal managed to kill off those penalties, which is huge in a 0-0 game. I really hope they open the scoring and dictate the pace in the second. It was a nail biting, but promising first.
