Habs Power play

Agostino - Byron - Armia

Weber- Drouin

Weber on half wall. Drouin taking draws, I would assume

Looks like full blend was used on the PP:

Agostino, Armia and Byron join Weber and Drouin on Montreal's first power-play unit. Petry, Domi, Kotkaniemi, Tatar and Gallagher form the second power play.

Overall, there was a lot to like about tonight's game.  They had a solid effort that generated a good number of quality chances, and even though they weren't being rewarded through the first two periods, they kept playing hard instead of getting a pout-on and folding.  When they were finally rewarded for that with a lucky one, it seemed to help them get even more energy, and they found another gear and got the clincher.  Price looked confident and played very well, which will give them a chance to win just about every time.  The only glaring negative tonight was the continued failure of the powerplay to produce.

Kotkaniemi is going to be such a force for Montreal in the next decade and beyond. He is growing and learning and already holding his own in the best league in the world as the youngest player in the league.

His board battles are struggling and he lost the puck a couple times on the PP but put himself in a great position to score his goal. He is so big too, I honestly can’t imagine what he looks like once he fills out and becomes the man he was always meant to be, could be some scary stuff......... for the other team!?

that one line for colorado is enough to beat the habs

Guess not eh.

Love to see Kotkaniemi hammer home the 1-timer.

Domi tied for 54th in scoring.

Petry tied 12h in d-scoring.

Kotkaniemi 4th rookie scoring (69th in rookie S% at only 5.9% vs a Pettersson at 27.8%...Dahlin 4.7% but 3rd rookie scoring)

2 of 3 goals from defence and neither from Petry or Weber.

Danault seems to be filling in Plekanec's role nicely.

Benn very physical, 5:40 on the PK, no gaffs and goal in 17minutes, which seems nice amount for him.

Quiet 19:46 for Mete.

Kulak 3 shots on net.
