dlbalr
Deslauriers to Anaheim for their 2020 4th. http://www.habsworld.net/2019/06/habs-trade-nicolas-deslauriers-to-anaheim/
Trizzak
That's pretty great value for Deslauriers.
EMELINATOR
Over $13 million in cap now, I wonder if an RFA is being targeted with all the draft picks being acquired?
Richard09
That's a lot of picks in 2020. Wonder if they will package a few to move up in the draft that will be in Montreal.
Commandant
Something is definitely happening. Habs now have the money and the contract spots to add two people... one big and one middle tier.
Trizzak
Meanwhile Hudon is trying to fit into either Shaw or Deslauriers' suitcases.

But a fourth rounder has a what...6 or 7 percent chance of making it to the NHL? Again, it’s just opening space for Mitchell who will likely shift to the wing this year. Deslauriers is an honest player, but hoarding picks is good strategy; the more you have, the greater the odds of hitting. Good minor trade, albeit sllightly odd for the Ducks, a team that needs to get younger and faster, not older and slower.
PMAC
Finally, I’m seeing really good asset management from MB. Moving a player like Deslaurier for a 4th rounder is excellent. Cap space and draft picks are now the premier currency of the NHL. Conversely, long term over payment for free agents is a killer. I hope that M. Bergevin remembers that tomorrow. huzer
Great value for DLO, in my opinion. I’m happy with this trade.
John B
The value is better than what I thought. Good trade here for the Habs.
