GOHABSGO22
The Habs need Koivu for longer then a year. He is the best playmaker on the team, he produces very well in the playoffs, and he is one of the players that play with the most heart in todays NHL. He is and should be a career habs. Psycing
Don't worry. I'm sure Gainey will bring him back when the time comes. (Unless of course there's a better guy on the market.) I think it really depends on how Ribs will do this year. Anyhow, I always figured we keep signing him to 1-year deals because there was a chance his cancer might come back? shortcat1
I can't see the cancer thing being an issue because often teams have salary insurance in the possibility that injury or illness takes one of their players out for an extended time. Anyways, I hope that Gainey wouldn't do that for that reason. That may be 'good business' but it would be crass. Naw, that doesn't fit on Gainey or on the Habs organization at all.
