tommy9
Hi man, I find that you are a big fan of Jan Bulis. Maybe is time to show some shooting-skills of him. Here is the Kladno vers. Pardubice video from a january match at our place. The final result 4:5 is not so important now. "Have a Bulis" was the reason for loss like this. He produced the 3-1 & 4-2 lead. The first with a big angle shot from the left and his "quick hands" has been in the work by his second . Quality of this video is about 70%, than sorry for that. Take a look and enjoy. (... maybe ) PS. ... and sorry for my terrible English too. tomas [Edited on 23-8-05 by tommy9]

But more importantly, I can find hundreds of games where any number of elite highly sought after players have been the player behind a loss (or at least pivotal goals). I don't think it's fair to lump that loss on Bulis, but even if you do, it's not like Bulis hasn't been responsible for many a win too. I mean what was worse, Bulis making a wide shot that leads to an important goal for his opponents or a guy like Kovalev faking a hand injury, giving up on the puck, colliding with his own d-man taking him out of the play, which turned into the winning goal? I don't see anyone on here saying Kovalev is horrible (not that you said Bulis is horrible). You are right, it is time for Bulis to step up and put up some great scoring numbers. He has the skills to do it for sure. But if you think about it, Bulis is not being paide almost $3M to be an offensive superstar, he's being paid just barely over $1M to be a defensive checking specialist and quite frankly I think he's the best we've got by far. I too love Bulis and think habs fans around the world will too after this season. Cheers. [Edited on 2005/8/23 by Carbo21]
KoZed
If there's a player that dont deserve to be ragged on its probably Bulis. He's doing what's asked of him by the coaching staff, which is to play a constant, sound, safe 2-way game from the wing. He has come a long way from the oft-injured, soft, perimeter center we acquired from Washington.
BTH
Hey, thanks, man for the video! And by the way guys he wasn't dissing Bulis. He looked to me like he was praising his quick hands or sometihng. I've never seen a player go all out, every shift like Bulis. He really is a defensive SPECIALIST. ANd now he's supposedly gonna bring some offense too. ANd now he's supposedly gonna bring some offense too. - don't mention it! I wanted to show him from the better side too. I'm not a 100% fan of Jan Bulis. Pardubice are our rival, don't forgot! I prefer to see his goals rather in a national or habs's dress . I'll give you another video-example of his play, when you want. Bulis like the hopless man with 3,4 scoring chances and no goal! ... you may have it in one minute! I'd like to agree with Carbo21. Jan is very good team-2way-player, not a Iginla or Heatley (IMO)
BTH
Ya the first video was nice but I couldn't understand the Czech commentator and I didn't know which team was which so it was a little hard to see who Bulis was. Luckily he was wearing his usual 38 and you told me he scored the 3-1 and 4-2 goals. Also, if Bulis can add as much ofense as he did in Czech Rep than he'll be better than Heatley.... IMO, of course. ANd I'm always ready to watch Bulis.
tommy9
Oh,Oh,Oh! Look on your Avatar! So a nice Pardubice's uniform! He score the blast-one from behind the left circle! That was really his evening! OK. You Get what you want! In a play-off-quarterfinal no.5 Pardubice v. Kladno came to a must-win match, while we were down 1-3 in series. Tomas Kaberle with a beautiful individual action (and millimeter accuracy) tied the score at 2:2! (What a pass before!!! BTW) And the three-on-one break-away with Jan Hrdina (Columbus now) on 5:3 goal is like from the hockeybook too. And what about "Buli" ... 3,4 very good chances without effect! Milan Hejduk produced two goals for the our opponents, BTW. We have won a match no. 6 then, and Pardubice (RED DRESSED with Hemsky,Hejduk among others) won the crucial 7th. Pardubice took the League-championship finally and Kladno has been the strongest competitor (media&fans opinions). http://www.bugr.savana.cz/video/web%20PO%2...%2013.3.05a.wmv !!! - Wait till end of the video, the "Buli" chances comes after interview with him. He also "produced" the 3-5 decider by his mistake in the Pardub. attacking zone. And sorry for my "breakable" English again! tomas ( ... and his archive ) [Edited on 23-8-05 by tommy9]
BTH
Nice! It's loading right now. Do yo by any chance have the championship game?
tommy9
That was a 1st round, and we have lossed the decisive 7.th. Pardubice won the semifinal with easy 4-1 on duels against HC Liberec (for.ex. Vrbata,Nedorost/both CAR,Kotalik/BUF,Modry/LA and Fisher/DET) and in a final Pardubice beat surprisingly quickly 4-0 on matches the HC Zlin (with your Bonk:),Cajanek/STL,Hamrlik/CGYnow and Erat/Nashville)! In play-of we starred with Tomas Kaberle and Jan Hrdina only . With a Jay-Jay (Jagr:) ) would be a great chance for the league-title!! ... after 15 years waiting! By now, tom
BTH
Cool! Oh, 6-3. But Bulis had 2 assists in that game vs Kladno.
tommy9
... just a little solace to him! I have the match no.6 too. A great atmosphere was there. We have won 2:1 and the bottom of our icehall have quaked!! The 7.th I have not - too unlucky story! PS. When you are interested about a some Czech player, give me the name and I'll try to find some info. PS. .... your mood is ... BTH
How do you have so much footage and so many videos of Czech games? Are you downloading them as you post them here or did you have them already?
tommy9
. Kladno is a very small city (ppl.80.000). Not like the largest french speaking city worlds after Paris. BTW - I love the Old Montreal and his architecture ! Back to theme now. I know Kabby from his 6-7 years, he trained with my cousin together until his 16-17. But I'm not a close friend of him. Doesn't matter. I know better his mother & grandma! Very merry ladies ! And videos are from our Kladno-Fanclub. So simple is this. Here is a "goodnight" photo (slowly midnight here) > http://tommy9.wz.cz/Tom-05j.JPG ... u must recognize him! ... your fourth-liner by shooting bye now and sweet hockey dreams P.S. ... I have edited the large of the photo at this moment ... too big for downloading [Edited on 23-8-05 by tommy9]

BTH
I wasn't sure if Czech was a language so I wrote Slovakian. By the way, you seem to like Hossa. Did you hear about Marian Hossa getitng traded to Atlanta?
tommy9
You will see on the September 18. at your ice. These are rumors only? Or maybe not! ... Aha, all is already signed . - That's will be probably a big loss for the Senators, and good news for a Bobby Holik's boys together! With the Kovalchuk & co. ( and without Dany&Greg) will be the Hossa's "new" Atlanta still dangerous (IMO). Such a talented forward this Marian. Great power-play man . Buy it back for habs's!! Marcel will be the happiest man on the planet! :D

BTH
No, it's not a rumour. It's a done deal. But Marcel will never be as good as Marian. Too bad. But Marian is overpaid anyway so it doesn't matter. The only players who should get 7 million dollars a year are Brodeur, S. Niedermayer, Iginla and maybe 1 or 2 more. Thornton, Lecavalier and co (Hossa) shouldn't be close to 7 million.

bombTHEice
Yea, here too ... *lol* Though no surprise as I'm living next to you ... BTW. We should go for a beer at Prague some time, I'm there pretty often. It's just a 1:30 drive from Linz up there ... Kladno is near Prag too as far as I know. Nice is the fact - (by czech players mostly) - the first year after the new (&higher) deal signing is not so good like the last one. I've so many examples ... Prospal (TB->more money->ANA :? -play),Elias (NJD->more money+Arnott gone=:?-), and also Jaromir's performances with more nulls on his bank-deposit wasn't so great . Penguins are Penguins & Mario is only one!....but what's he show this year by the World Cup,World Championship and Czech resp. Russian league was clearly fantastic . Hands of gold!
