I am amazed by the delay between the posts from CJAD and CHRC. I read the results 'long' before the shoot-out scores take place.

Higgins, Hossa and Latendresse. I'm very glad for Hossa. I hope that this is his break-out year. Higgins, I'm not surprised and, of course, Latendresse... it would have been pandemonium if he hadn't been one of them.

The crowd bood a bit when Hossa was mentioned... probably because they wanted Latendresse.

wow, no use reading all the posts since i left, but what a game... :D

Burke hung out to dry!

Latendresse, can't wait to see if they play him on a line w/ Ribs and Ryder to see what happens... aww man.

Perezhogin wins the shoot-out for us again... :D

Dagenais who? (sure he can score, but you've got to think his days are numbered when you've got Latendresse and Perezhogin playing like they are.)

Yes, that would seem to be the case. That would be too bad for him. He would surely find himself a spot on an other team. He does have a valid talent.

Weird, I know that there's no waiver draft but the French post-game commentators are talking about the Canadiens's difficult decision about who to keep and who to let go. The implication seems to be that if a player is not 'protected', he's fair game for others to take him. I don't quite understand. I wonder if it means that they're only allowed to have so many in their organization and the others that they can't or decide not to sign become 'free agents'.

Houston, we have a (nice) problem...

Hossa is playing like he suddenly cares.

Perezhogin is alway creating stuff

Higgins plays like a veteran already

Latendresse won't slow down

Plekanec getting up to speed and scoring SH

Tough tough decisions for Julien.

it's not about protection, here is the deal:

If you dont find a roster spot for some of our older prospects, before they can be sent down you need to put them on waivers, only if they clear waivers can you send them down.

The implication being that these guys arent clearing waivers

Got 4 spots and Sundstrom is "garanteed" one of them. So who gets the 3 others?

i dunno.. frankly i think sundstrom would clear waivers...

Are waivers in the NHL revocable like in baseball?

Let me rephrase: Julien & Gainey like Sundström and want him in the lineup.
