The key to a successful year is not to have back to back losses.

hope I’m not stepping on anyone’s feet here with the game thread..

go Habs!

From what I now understand of the tradition, I believe not ...

Vancouver is on a roll ... 4 wins ... albeit three against Ottawa ...

You have it right! We keep GDT winning streaks, but GDT losing streaks are terminated after the first game. :)

That's why I was expecting you to do today's GDT since technically your streak hasn't ended yet.

Ah, sorry, I didn't realize the interrupted streak continuation was a thing!

Neverthess, the current GDT is off to a good start!

Love to see Lekhy's dogged determination get rewarded!

Romanov looking a little shaky, if anyone deserves to be sitting out to give Mete a shot it's him (not to say he should be benched, just that he's been worse than Kulak or any of our other D-men).

Petry is a sniper!

I think I'd rather see Frolik play.  We are already familiar with what Mete can do.

They can't afford to bring Frolik up and sit Mete.  Well, unless they recalled Frolik and left Perry on the taxi squad I guess.

I sent you a PM reminder about it yesterday but I guess you didn't see it.

I like how well Drouin is playing

He really seems to be patching the holes in his game, and bringing a more consistent effort.  I recall he was doing well last year until Ovechkin derailed him with that hit.  Maybe we still haven't seen the best from Drouin, and it certainly helps that Suzuki is the type of player that makes his linemates look better.

I did not, sorry. :( It's my first PM here since 2009 (!) so that's my excuse for not paying attention to the wee icons at the top of the page. :)

I now have an email notification enabled for PMs so I should do better next time ...

Romanov and Mete do not belong together. A rookie with a very rusty Mete and they look scary in their zone

Yeah. I hope Julien was paying attention and will make an adjustment in the second period.

It’s becoming clear that Drouin can excel as a set up man.

He should not try and carry the play or run the net. Just pass to Suzuki or Anderson when they are open

I don't believe that I have ever seen Julien change anything that isn't working.

I agree, and have said that before thinking about next year and Caufield.  He'll require the 2 best passers to be the most effective so he should play with Drouin and Suzuki.  At some point this season I'd like to see Anderson removed from that line and play a slightly different role.  Thats the good thing about Anderson, he doesnt really need to set up and can produce his own goals.
