Kotkaniemi 11 mins, 0 points and -1

10gp    2g   1a    +1  on a top team.

Lets hope this continues.

And noticed he was not on either PP last game as well.

Seems to be falling out of favour, what a waste of money (at that contract value).

140 minutes TOI for Kotkaniemi so far this season, 270 minutes for Dvorak.

So 2 measles points more production, despite almost double the the ice time.

At half the cost. And playing for a team that is scoring two goals/game rather than four.

Im not wishing Kotkaniemi any ill will, still no fan of Carolina though.

I want him to suck so the canes wont qualify him next summer so in the end losing their picks for nothing. This also needs to include not winning the cup.

After that let him have any success he can.

I don’t wish KK any ill will personally - I just don’t want him to become anything more than the bottom-6 player he currently is. This seems obvious to me. If he does develop into an impact C, he will be another “one that got away” from the Habs whose career we’ll have to suffer watching for years. I’ve had enough of that over the years with the LeClairs and McDonaghs and Sergachev and even the Ribeiros. No thanks.

Fortunately, I always had my doubts about Kotkaniemi ever becoming much more than Lars Eller, and so far, so good.

Fucale getting a NHL start. Been quite the journey.

He'll be playing for his 10th pro team (4x ECHL, 5x AHL, 1x NHL), a journey indeed. Kudos to him for hanging in and getting his first start in the big leagues.

Very happy for him ... stuck it out ... but as an emergency recall he isn't likely around for long ... hope he gets another shot, be it with he Caps or elsewhere

Translated from Swedish by Google
Jacob de la Rose on the tragic death of his mother

"Like the whole world collapsing"

Think I can safely say all our thoughts and wishes are with Jacob and his family.

Good for him

Element of schadenfreude for some ... I just think he was blinded by a reflection off another LA players' ridiculous helmet

I have no resentment at all of Danault, who quite reasonably went for the big payday - likely annoyed that the Habs negotiated with him in the media. And frankly, if we had known KK was going to get offer-shat, we would have signed him to that deal anyway. He's a very fine player who deserves the rewards, unlike KK.
