Wheeler is out...maybe this gives us a glimmer of hope?

21 minutes ago, Prime Minister Koivu said:

If Drouin is as lazy as he was last night then put him on the 4th line. Drouin was primarily responsible for leafs first and third goals because he is lazy

I'm tired of his act too...would have ZERO issues with scratching him and throwing Caufield out there.  It'd be hard for even the rawest rookie to be worse than Drouin was last night; the shot he put smack-dab in the middle of Campbell's chest on a breakaway was downright sad.

I will scream into the abyss and type till my fingers bleed that Ducharme should be subbing as many players in for back-to-backs as possible, and starting Allen again when Primeau is RIGHT ####ING THERE is a ridiculous idea.

Ok...need to do the reverse jinx mojo again...desperate times call for desperate measures.  There is ZERO chance that Jonathan Drouin scores a goal tonight.  He is a useless floating waste of icetime with the shot of a Midget 'B' player.  His 5.5 million per for 2 more years as just shy of being an Alzner level albatross...you couldn't trade the bum for a bag of pucks and two rolls of hockey tape.

Before last night Allen played last Thursday and before that march 19th ... I doubt he is overworked ... if Price is out for any length of time then, all else being equal, I would look at Primeau for the first or second game against Calgary next week.

Who should be subbing?

IMO, the Habs have nobody who could allow a top 4 defenceman to rest without creating a serious issue ... and with Gallagher out they are also thin in terms of subbing out any top 9 forward .. except perhaps Drouin who on too many nights could be replaced by Weal with little difference, except Weal would likely work harder.

FFS...Mete is just too small and weak.

Mete did as much as he could and Lewis still stole his lunch money and eat the snack Victor's mom packed

And the first goal was Edmundson getting caught up ice and not having enough speed to get back.

Need to get a guy who can skate and isn't 5'8"

Agreed ... just not certain how many there are available that cold push Edmondson down to pairing with Romanov

Nice that the Quebec Government gave Habs permission to have one front-line worker family attend each game in one of the suites

Mete needed to lift the guys stick

"Needed to" isn't the same as "could have" with a bigger player leaning on his stick going for the tip

Allen didn't look great on THAT one ... didn't seem to try to cut down the angles ... of course Petry was beaten like a drum too

Fleury is bigger and might be able to step into a 5D/6D role, but not second pairing. Leskinen and Brook aren’t much bigger than Mete, though.

But, I would argue it’s not just size, it’s how you play. Mete is about the same size as a certain Mr Gallagher...
