Frankly ... didn't look to me like either player really had their heart in the fight

It was more of professional courtesy.  Perry did the right thing and answered the bell right then and there.

Don't know why they fought Perry it wasn't a dirty hit. He actually tried to jump over him to try and miss him.

Nice goal by Anderson

I think Perry did the right thing.  Don't let the animosity from the injury build up a possibly get one of his teammates hurt by being run on purpose.  Answer the bell and try to bury it as soon as possible.

Perry didn't throw a single punch, I think. The obligatory fight, but he just wanted to get it over with.

I think it was just the modern BS that ANY big hit must be avenged, regardless of whether not  it was dirty ... as Turdbuglar said Perry fought as a professional courtesy and I almost wonder if Foligno did it as a sort of a courtesy just to get it out of the way, and avoid another Leaf going nuts on, or cheap-shoting, Perry ... no idea whether Nick is a good fighter but there didn't seem to be any real attempt/intent on his part to be too vicious

I agree too that fighting is kinda silly because it was a freak accident.  However, if anybody is at fault it would Chiarot and not Perry.  i.e. Taverese wouldn't have been on the ice to be clipped by Perry if Chiarot hadn't put him there.

Toffoli will score tonight.  He usually does in games he takes a penalty.  He's good like that.

@Prime Minister Koivu  thx, other already said it.

I'm not surprised it was Foligno.  I'm glad it wasnt Simonds.

Happy with how the Oldies Goldies line is contributing tonight

very nice goal by Anderson

Danault line not clicking yet; once they find their groove Habs will look really good

Merrill-Weber are fine together

Good period outside of the accident. We need to keep hitting it’s having a strong effect.

Price was good.

Great team effort so far. The much-maligned Staal played really well. Everybody played well, especially Anderson, who is a frigging heat-seaking missile out there.

I think the Foligno fight was really about the Leafs saying "this won't stop us." But you could tell they were shaken up.

Why is Perry fighting for this? it was an accident.

That was odd.  And if you're Toronto and wanting to do that right away, wouldn't you send out Simmonds?  Taking away a second top-six forward for that purpose didn't make much sense.

I'm very pessimistic. Not really excited. Hopefully the Habs can win one. It will take a monumental effort and perfect execution by all players to get this series to 7. Leafs in 5.

I have the same feeling, but would like to be proven wrong.

I think they can win the series, but not if it goes to 7.

This series will depend on how it all plays out.  I believe there is a exact formula that is required.

I think the worst scenario would be for the Habs to win Game 1 by a large margin.  If that happens the Leafs will respond like they are losing the series, because they would be.

For the Habs to win this series the Leafs cant realize they are losing the series until the Habs have won 3 games.  The Habs cant win their 1st 2 games by a wide margin.  The Leafs need to out hit, out shoot, out chance, but under score in those games.  The Habs 3rd win will be wild game where a Leafs is injured and over reactions lead to Habs PPGs.  Their 4th W can be by a wide margin.

I posted this right as Tavarase got injured so I immediately deleted it.

Good on you @Sir_Boagalott to re-post

I also think the Leafs can be defeated if the Habs get in their head.

The Habs are ahead and they need to continue pressing and playing like this all the way to the last minute
