Well… we survived the 2nd period… hopefully they come out flying and get a break in the third..

We have been the better team for two periods, but the Leafs are playing a classic road game.

It doesn’t matter. It’s do or die. Keep coming at them. Keep playing them HARD in the D-zone. Go out there and make it happen.

Gustaffson/Kulak with 4:26/4:34 and never together ... dynamic third "pairing"

Kulak deserves more trust. If you're only going to play Gustaffson that much (2 games in a row) then Romanov should be in. At least a pairing of Kulak and Romanov you can trust out there together. Over burdening the top 4 for no reason.

Leafs can still win it with one good shift

but I feel good about the Habs

Campbell seems locked in. Habs shooters seem a bit tight.

Might need a garbage goal to break the dam.

Garbage goals are indeed the best chance to beat him. Need traffic in front of the net, with rebounds, bounces and deflections.

I am no goal scoring coach, but I believe the odds of scoring go up when you put the shot on the net…

Both teams had just 6 shots in the 2nd.

You are right, but then again they still have 80 mins to lose the series.

I'm thinking the same.

This game might go deep into double OT.

Anyone catch what happened to Anderson late in the period?

No, but hopefully he just left because he wouldnt get another shift so might as well go to the dressing room.

edit:  they showed Anderson on the bench.

Unbelievable that Matthews gets away with the hook.. brutal

Thats what I thought too.  The replay is very revealing.  i.e. Danault was totally holding his stick is what happened.

Danault was pretty obviously holding Matthews' stick.

It wasn't obvious when it happened.  I definitely thought Mathews hooked Danault. However, the replay clearly shows it.
