Mats & Tommy are retired from Swedish national scene and Dackell is little bit out of target. He played home in Brynas now. BTW, Slovakians no.1 between the pipes - Jan Lasák will be in 70 minutes hosted in our stadium with his HC Pardubice team. I hope that he will a little nervous today . This will be first olympic tournament for him!

Tony_
The guys near the canadian flag, does that mean their from Canada (double nationality) ?
jetsniper
Err...why wouldn't Budaj start? The guys pretty damn close to becoming our starter. Hate to sound like a fanboy but has anyone seen him play? Glad to see Svatos got picked too. With Aebischer tending goal for Switzerland, all 3 of our guys could possibly be Olympic starters (although Gerber should start for the Swiss, but the article said Aebi would so meh). Not sure if Latvia is in the Olympics but Skrastins will go for them.

He plays for Västra Frölunda and has been quite good this far this season. Dont know which Mats u refer to. Dackel isnt good enough plain and simple. Sundström isnt either... I wouldve taken Holmström before him any day.

BTH
Originally posted by TonyThe guys near the canadian flag, does that mean their from Canada (double nationality) ? Ya. I have one of them (Jason Muzzati) on my EHM farm team. And the Swedes are stacked. They could be tough ocmpetition. And if the Slovakians had a good goaliethey'd be amazing. Possibly the best team I've ever seen them put out. [Edited on 2005/12/22 by Bulis_the_Habbie]

And we know that Dackell's outputs in Swedisch Elite serien aren't good enough for tournament like Rossno Cup. PS. Like a MoDo fan, I'd like to see Per Svartvadet & Milos Horava in your, resp. our national squad on Torino games. .... I know, just a dream! cristianp6
Suomi Goalies (3) Miika Kiprusoff (Calgary) Kari Lehtonen (Atlanta) Fredrik Norrena (Linköping,Swe) Kipper don't want to go at the Olimpics for his phisical problems! The finnish media indicates Toivonen or Markkanen for replace Kiprussof, but not Niittymaki who is making a strong season! Luckily they still have a few others who can step up there. Personally I'd like to see Nittymakki on that team and Lehtonen as the starter. I think Lehtonen has a good chance of being the starter now. I hope they go far, Finland is my second favourite hockey nation after Canada.
