Scott Wheeler had Josh Roy ranked 34 on his draft board.

This was an incredibly difficult year for the draft prognosticators.

Josh Roy wasn't on my board, but was in consideration for a top 100 spot.

His skating is poor which is the big issue.

He can really shoot though. And he's got a knack for getting open and being in the right spot.

At least skating is something that some players can at least possibly improve

So, do the Habs pick a 6'5" goaltender in the 6th or 7th round?

Didn't they have a really tall goalie a few years ago? I looked all over their AHL rosters the last 20 years and couldn't seem to find it. Not sure if I was somehow overlooking him or if he didn't exist.

He's a short centre, who was passed over in the last two drafts.

He is a good passer, and he plays with an edge despite being 5'7".  He just loves to get in the face of the opponents, get in the middle of scrums, etx..... He's got the Lavalagher gene, but more a passer than a scorer.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of these 7th's is dealt for one next year.  I also wonder if they take another QMJHL guy who can turn pro and go to Trois-Rivieres.  If so, I wouldn't be shocked if that's Christopher Merisier-Ortiz.
