I feel your pain, but it seems the issue is with the fulfillment company — and, yes, the Lions are ultimately responsible.

However, they are not formally part of the Habs’ organization beyond an affiliate agreement.

Not as big as the Carey Price news, but good news for the new ECHL franchise:

A bit of movement between Laval and Trois-Rivieres

This is what needed to happen for Khisamutdinov.  For him to have any shot at sticking around beyond this season, he needs to play big minutes in an offensive role and work his way up.  He's not getting that in the press box in Laval.

Having said that, I also wouldn't be shocked if he's on termination waivers in the next few days.  At this point, the odds of him getting qualified have to be less than 5%.  If he feels that's the case, perhaps going home may be more desirable for him where he'd have a shot at catching on with at least an MHL team.  I don't know what they pay in that league but if it's anything more than $70,000, he'd be making money along the way.

VHL team maybe? Top VHL players might make $100K or so but most are no more than the $50K range. However, living costs will typically be significantly lower.

I thought MHL was an amateur league, roughly comparable to the OHL or QMJHL?

You're right - I had them backwards.  VHL is what I was aiming for.
