Nov 27, Habs at Penguins' 19h00 - ... fool me twice (5-15-2) shame on me

I am tired of seeing my team loose without effort, work ethic or pride. I am glad Pezzetta earned his 10th game and that he will play in Montreal in the short term.

Highlighted are the players I want to see "play to their level"

MTL

Drouin - Suzuki - Caufield (he is a rookie*, let's cut him some slack)
Toffoli - Dvorak - Anderson
Lehkonen - Evans - Gallagher
Pezzetta(he is an AHLer, let's cut him some slack) - Poehling - Armia

Chiarot - Petry
Romanov - Savard
Norlinder (he should not be in the NHL yet, let's cut him some slack) - Niku (his contract was terminated, let's cut him some slack)

Allen

Montembeault

PIT

Guentzel - Crosby - Rodrigues

Zucker - Carter - Kapanen

Aston-Reese - Blueger - McGinn

Heinen - Buyle - SImon

Dumoulin - Letang

Petterson - Marino

Matheson - Ruhwedel

DeSmith

Jarry

I notice that Drouin is the only veteran you didn't highlight.  Is that because his current level is acceptable (2 goals in 16 games) or because you have given up on him?

neither, he IS playing to his potential: not acceptable, he should so more; but it's fine if he keeps his current level (consistency)

Then I guess his current level is acceptable if he is playing to his potential. It can't be neither.

You may be right, I may be crazy

Hasn't the Lehkonen-Evans-Gallagher line been the only one playing to their level over the last couple of weeks?

If you're using the career average as a yardstick, then Lehkonen should be acceptable as well. Not to mention that he, Evans and Gallagher have been the one line on the team with energy throughout the recent games.

all criticism accepted, now onto the game

if the only criticism after the game is my poor use of statistics, then that will be a great night to be a Habs fan

The Habs seem to think that every pass must be received vs wired at the net.  Right when I was thinking that none of the Habs can do a 1 timer, Petry proves me wrong by doing an incredibly weak 1 timer.

How many shots on net did they Habs have before that 4 min PP?  They had 3 when it ended.

Habs rebound after a poor effort Friday and win 4-2!

Perhaps you should pick a different score that might be luckier.

I was bummed because I wanted to see a replay of Dvoraks shot right after it happened but they didn't show it.  It looked like there was a chance that it went in.  They eventually showed it at the end of the period, and nope.

That was far more respectable (first period) than the previous effort against the Pens.

The four-minute, 5-on4 "penalty killed" was impressive
😛  😉  😈
