Commandant
RHD #3 on the Colorado prospect list This is equivalent to a 1st round pick IMO, plus he's two years farther along. I'm high on him. https://lastwordonsports.com/hockey/2021/10/04/2021-colorado-avalanche-prospects/

I know he was rumored to be the centerpiece of the return for the Giroux trade. Decent size, RD. Too bad I didn't get a chance to see him live (other than at camp, he was one of the later cuts), as the Eagles play just up the road from me. alfredoh2009
I am no expert, but before the Habs made the move for Mailloux, Barron one was of the last few RDs on the board that when he was picked... well, I lost hope the Habs would draft anyone to fill a need. It seems like a gamble, but seems like a good one to take on an expiring RFA that may become too expensive for where he is projected playing on a Habs roster. The 2nd in 2024 is good value for Lehks! I am warming up to Hugh-Gort, I may start calling him HuGo too

Neech
Wow, Lekky arguably got us more than Toffoli. Maybe extra years on the contract are really a deal-killer, even if they're decent value. Sad to see Lekky go, what a warrior! Just the type of player to add to the Avs' formidable forward group.
Prime Minister Koivu
Reading Avs boards it seems to me like there is a genuine opportunity that we hit it out of the park here. I can’t wait for next season. Will miss a great player in Lehkonen
Neech
2024 2nd means that we won't even have to cheer for Lekky's team to lose in the playoffs this year. The 2021 Finals run is paying dividends this trade deadline.

Players showing they've had some recent success in the playoffs goes a long way in terms of establishing value.

Commandant
With Edmundson and Romanov on LHD, not sure that both Guhle and Harris make it. Don't want them being the 7th D. One makes it and one plays in Laval. Barron makes it at RD IMO.

alfredoh2009
Right now, it look slike this for next season: Edmundson-Petry Romanv-Savard Clague- *(Wideman) Depending on who they re-sign, trade and who they go get on the UFA market (LeCavalier's job) this can change. I see a spot for one rookie, maybe two if the rookies perform better than the oldies-goldies
