Right now, it look slike this for next season:

Edmundson-Petry

Romanv-Savard

Clague- *(Wideman)

Depending on who they re-sign, trade and who they go get on the UFA market (LeCavalier's job) this can change.

I see a spot for one rookie, maybe two if the rookies perform better than the oldies-goldies

Rookie over Clague who becomes the 7th D.

Rookie RHD.

Rookies have to earn their spots on the NHL roster. We'll see in October

Clague doesn't have a spot guaranteed based on his play.

In fact, I'd have a rookie over him right now with Schuneman.

Should Guhle put in any AHL time?

Do you think he will?

isn't Clague still in Injury Reserve?

I agree Shueneman is doing really well right now, but the crystal ball has been bretty cloudy with regards to lineup predictions this season.

He's out for another week or so.

#3 on the Colorado prospect list

This is equivalent to a 1st round pick IMO, plus he's two years farther along.  I'm high on him.

Well, we weren’t going to get their to two prospects. If he pans out, it will be a great trade.

Avs should also be a lot stronger with Lekhs - I really like him and if this year is who is going forward, we may regret the deal, but it’s one I think we had to make.

Will Barron play in Laval or suit up for Habs sooner than later?

He was sent to Laval for now.  I wouldn't be shocked if he sees some NHL action in April, depending on how things look with their recall situation.

Also, nice addition for The Rocket playoff chase.

So Schueneman is one of the 4 callups then, as i expect he was papered down and called back up.

Savard is playing tonight, maybe Shueneman did not burn a call up

Maybe he will play vs Panthers and/or Leafs?

Can fill in for Petry...for rest of year, would be good by me.

 maybe he is captain material too, does he speak french?

I noticed some commentators using the French pronunciation of his last name even though he's from Halifax and it's presumably pronounced like the medieval noble.

Aint many French speaking folks in Nova Scotia, so i would guess NO.

I would think Suzuki might be good choice as next captain, but seems pretty soft spoken kid though.

I would start considering retiring his jersey too. 😐

Wonder how he looked at practice today?

St Louis said he didnt have time to really notice, not surprising and kinda the big diff between AHL vs NHL.

Not sure makes big difference but can hurt.

"Barron was Kaiden Guhle’s defence partner when Team Canada won a silver medal at the 2021 world junior championship. The Canadiens selected Guhle nine picks before Barron at the 2020 NHL Draft.

Barron received a text from Guhle — who is playing for the WHL’s Edmonton Oil Kings — after Monday’s trade and later spoke with him on the phone."
