By the way, if anyone's wondering if Lucas Condotta will play, his deal hasn't been registered yet (I assume they're waiting for the team to get back to Laval to do so) so he won't play in these games. dlbalr
Well, that wasn't a good end to that road trip - only 3 of 8 points overall. They're still holding onto second in the division for now but they're not that far out of being out of the playoffs altogether now.

The division is super even from 2nd to 6th: .568, .563, ..557, .554, .550. Anything could happen yet with about a dozen games remaining, but they are really in control of their own destiny. All intra-division games, and only one against the leading Utica. Three against Rochester and the Marlies, and two against each of the other three teams. Habs could lend them some players to help them make the playoffs ... and to help the Habs secure a better draft pick.

The only ones they can send down are the ones currently on regular recall - Schueneman, Barron, and Ylonen. Ylonen was just converted to a regular recall which stands to reason that he'll be up for a while. Barron and Schueneman are getting long looks to assess them for next year so I don't think they can be counting on any short-term help from the Habs. Maybe in the final week of the season if they want to get them re-situated with the Rocket before the playoffs but that's about all they can probably hope for. They've got who they've got and we'll see if Heineman/Condotta will get much playing time or if they'll just be extra practice bodies.
