dlbalr
It's not even warmup and we're off to an interesting start in this one...
GHT120
Lavalagher ... 1 -
dlbalr
Harvey-Pinard had a really nice play to break up a 2-on-1 just before that with Laval scoring seconds later. 1-0 good guys after 1.

dlbalr
2-1 after 40 minutes. Laval's playing with fire - they do not look good and Springfield is outplaying them by a fair bit. Belzile's up to four minor penalties in this one as well.
tomh009
So, did Hofer not get suspended for his spearing and game misconduct at the end of game 4 (which started the full brawl)? Or is the AHL decision deferred?

tomh009
That's exactly why I'm wondering. Lindros had been the scheduled starter in any case, but I could not find anything about an AHL decision on Hofer.
tomh009
Eight minutes to go, and they are still clinging to a one-goal edge. But Springfield is pressing, and I worry that the Rocket will take one penalty too many yet ...

A late penalty didn't kill them but a lucky bounce tied it up as Joshua's wrister changed direction off Paquette-Bisson. Off to OT again. tomh009
Springfield scores a late second goal, and off to overtime we go again, for the third time in five games.
dlbalr
Neal gets the winner late in OT. Things just got a lot tougher for Laval as the last two games are on the road.
tomh009
At the minimum, they will have taken the semifinal series to six games, a solid result for a team that hasn't had much recent playoff success. But, let's hope they can do better than that -- they did split the first two games in Springfield.
