Six minutes on penalty kill (DSP called for a double minor for high-sticking) but the Rocket survived that. Scoreless at the end of the first, shots 9-5 for Springfield.

Survived is a good term for that period.  I'm not sure Hofer even broke a sweat; the puck was almost always in Laval's zone or being fetched after a Laval icing.

I think Hofer is officially rattled now. After allowing only five goals in his first four playoff games, he has given up 11 in four games against the Rocket. And he lost his cool in game four already. The Rocket needs to keep putting traffic in front of him, and they can take the seventh game.

thanks @dlbalr, good recap.

I watched two periods and found that Smith-Pelley was doing the veteran thing the few times he was on the ice. I liked seeing that.

Primeau was so calm, well positioned and great rebound control like you wrote.

I didn't see Ylonen's injury, I hope he doesn't have long term symptoms. He has been just ok in the few playoff games I've watched and for me it is more important he gets ready for training camp than playing hurt in the series.

I still like Niku's game, Fairbrother looked fine in the few shifts I saw him in.

Game 7 should be lots of fun to watch Wednesday.
