Commandant
Not a big fan of this one. Don't like his game. Mainly a defensive D if he even makes it.
Sir_Boagalott
This write up doesn't sound bad: "When forwards enter his zone he always keeps his stick towards the puck and is aggressive to poke the puck loose or to put up his body and hit the opponent. Engstrom does not get caught out of position and he also reads passing lines really well to break up plays and start the puck up ice for his team." A pet peeve of mine that has driven me crazy for years is when the Habs are in the offensive zone and the other teams gets the puck out, the Habs would race back to their hashmarks, giving up the entire neutral zone + their blue line. Guhle seems to step up and challenge players too. Apparently, Engstrom's offensive toolkit needs serious work.
DON
Not horrible offense for a d man, is it? 2021-22 Djurgardens Jr. Swe-Jr 45 8 20 28 20
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Sounds like, if he makes the league (doubtful), it will be as a bottom-end D-man whose whole trademark is that he doesn’t make many mistakes: a safe placeholder.
tomh009
A safe defensive third-pairing D-man is exactly what you'd want if you have someone like Wideman or Niku as the other D-man on that pair. The odds are long for a late-third-round pick, though, so let's see how he progresses.

tomh009
That chart says that 13.7% of NHL players were picked in the third round. It's not the chart that shows what the chances are in the third round, though.
