dlbalr
Two-year deal, financials undisclosed. (Remember when they said they'd start publishing terms? That didn't last long...) https://www.nhl.com/canadiens/news/two-year-contract-extension-for-rem-pitlick/c-335011802

Commandant
1.1 million AAV Good deal for a guy whose floor is 45 points (sarcasm).

CapFriendly showing it as $2.1M per year for two years. EDIT: They've corrected it ... $1.1M x

That's a typo on their end - on Twitter, they're citing the Engels report and just said it's a flat $1.1M each season with no signing bonus money. Sir_Boagalott
Hmm, interesting that the Habs moved Petry to make cap space and then proceed to sign a 4th line AHL fluke player instead of the new #2C Dach. Thats utter madness, Hughes should be fired. (sarcasm)
Prime Minister Koivu
Good signing 👍
dlbalr
$1.1M is right in that sweet spot for players with the lack of experience but short-term recent success. If he does well, it's a good deal for the Habs. If he struggles or gets pushed out of the lineup, the contract can be buried in Laval without a cap penalty. Either way, Pitlick gets a nice guarantee, making it a win-win.
mineral
I can't remember who it was but i recall a wise comment when Pitlick was not tendered a QO that it didn't necessarily mean he wouldn't be back with us
Neech
Happy to have Byron 2.0 back at Byron 1.0's cap hit from when he wasn't overpaid.

Yes, i think he is better choice over Poehling, who was basically the 5th centre now anyways.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Excellent contract for a player I was hoping we’d be able to keep 👍
Habs Fan in Edmonton
Yup, nothing wrong with those numbers.

I’m kinda happy Poehling is gone, just to put an end to the long history of online posts (here and elsewhere) pencilling him for top-6 minutes 🙄 If he hadn’t had that freak first game, this never would have been the case.
