In my opinion the offside rule should not apply to the player with possession of the puck (and I consider McDavid to be "in possession" on this play)

NHL bottom 10 ranked by goal differential after +/- 30 games. Ottawa has a better differential and their spot in this list is taken by the Habs who are just out of the bottom 10:

I will be interesting to see how the Habs perform in the next 10 games

A combined 118 games and only FOUR goals total for these six players total.

There might be hope for team tank after all…brutal stat

A whole lotta garbage right there. Too bad about Evans, I remember when he first showed up and we all had hope in him as a potentially excellent future 3rd-line C. He’s OK, but his career is at grave risk of sliding into “marginal NHLer” territory.

Evans is the rare player who excelled under Ducharme but less so under St-Louis. I'm still not ready to give up on him though, and he's signed at a reasonable number for a good fourth line centre. Hopefully he can do better next year with fewer passengers on his wing.

13g 29pt season last year was encouraging and defensively at least he is pretty good i suppose.:spamafote:

He was not expected to make it to the NHL. It was a great pick by the Habs and he has surpassed all expectations. He is probably at his peak (hopefully not passed it) and a good trade chip as a PK specialist.

:surrender::surrender::surrender: Why call him garbage ?! that is unnecessary :surrender::surrender::surrender:

About that?  Probably nothing.  Injuries aren't dictating their roster and trade plans.

not the Habs plans, but teams that are on the hunt may be calling the Habs

Now the question is how he will be used ...

Yeah that PP is really bad…

Perhaps stop putting the human turn over machine Drouin on point for starters.

As fun as it is to beat up on Drouin, putting him on the PP (in the last few games) really did not make the PP appreciably worse.

When it comes to that bum, the bar needs to be low. Very low indeed.

Maybe yes. But you can't really blame the PP on him when he has barely played on it.

He gave the puck away three times in the last two games while playing point on the PP. Not even pressured, he just passes the puck away.

So, that's why our PP was so much better before Drouin was on it? Now he destroys both PP1 and PP2 single-handedly ...

Haters will hate

Why is it hating to point out a player’s weak, lazy back checking and his terrible Ozone passing choices?

The proof on Drouin will happen next season when he receives short term, low dollar offers or non at all.

Will they be haters too?

He's a 7th round pick.  He's already better than we could have hoped.

What should they do?  The team is rebuilding.  If injuries happen, you just let it ride.  No point trading picks or prospects to get short term injury help during this season.
