Getting beaten this bad, this often isn’t good.

Im all aboard team tank but blowouts don’t help development at all

I will not comment on that tonight. It will be too much for fans on the forum not wanting a tank job

I am glad the game is over

Being #5 in the lottery rankings is a good thing in the end ... but I, too, would like to see competitive losses rather than blowouts. This one was still OK in the second but things totally fell apart in the third.

It looks like we don't need to worry about goaltending spoiling our chances for a high pick. After Montembeault came up with -2.33 GSAx (goals saved above expected) vs Florida, Allen outdid him with a -4.17 GSAx. Ugh. We don't need all-star goaltending this season but hopefully this is just a blip and both goalies stop some more pucks in January.

A penalty? Gallagher?

let’s pit

him put him out of his misery and trade him for a late 3rd

A late 3rd?

It will take at least a couple of firsts along with BG to get a team to CONSIDER, however briefly, to offer a bag of pucks ... unless Bergevin gets a GM spot in which case they might be able to get that 3rd and watch Bergevin's tearful press conference welcoming Brendan to ???????.

They are certainly looking like a bottom 5 team now. Washington is on a roll and they have been  missing a lot of guys who will be back soon. I thought they might fall out of the playoff race as they struggled early  but was dead wrong about that.  Better to see Washington get hot than Florida.

The goalies stole 4 to 6 games earlier

it is the pendulum swing

Habs will be fine if the expectation is tanking

Players will check out mentally if expectation is to compete

Of course St. Louis wants the players to compete. There is no other alternative. They may not be successful but they need to play hard otherwise bad habits develop.

What's wrong with Gallagher's attitude, in your view? He's one of the hardest-working players on the team, even if the results are no longer there.

Other than that, the Habs are down 2-0 but the game is still more enjoyable to watch than the pair in Florida, I think.

I think he is beyond frustrated with all of his injuries and he knows that they are taking a toll on his body.

He broke his stick at the bench after he got hit by Eller and when he fell it didn't look good so I figured he was injured on that play and he didn't play for a while after that.

Attitude might be the wrong word. I mean his on ice antics, the stick grabbing, he is often in the corner tied up with an opponent while the play has long gone the other way, the constant chirping and shit disturbing.

That’s what I’m sick of with Gallagher

It almost seems like those are the only things that he is still good at.

I have no idea of what MSL wants. But I know that putting any competitive person in a situation where the odds of winning are stacked against them: some will crack, some will pretend and some will hunker down

regardless how hard they may try, this team isn’t even. .500 team

Well, it was a hell of a bad game and a perfect loss for them to be the 12th+ team this season to join the 5 losses in a row club.

At least @xXx..CK..xXx will be happy, the Caps didn't get an open netter.

Some of us in the forum knew, others wished for better, and other honestly believed they would be better.

The fun part is watching g the season unfold and experiencing the growth in the kid’s game

I think we all knew that even before the season started.

thought they did get the empty net. Or was that the Laval game ?

I was indeed content when I saw that Allen was still in the net at 2-9.

You got to lose before you learn how to win. This is the best thing, we need to make our farm system strong again. This unfortunately is the only way to do it.

1st line had 11 shots, which is better.

Armia managed 0 shots in 15:45.

18:48 for Barron, and he has seemed to be doing OK.

I liked Barron last season. I am looking forward for him and Guhle to become the Habs top pair
