No kidding Slafkovsky went from exciting and dazzling at times to a sad wet noodle

DON
Caufield on pace for 46 goals, will it be 40+ in the end? Suzuki on 67 & Dach 47 point paces.

DON
Drouin is bit overdue to score his 1st, would be fun to see him get one or two.

I'm a bit glum about Suze's drop off. Not blaming him, but it was a lot of fun when he was among the league's scoring leaders. I do believe that with a good #2C behind him and drawing off some attention, he could get back to that. Even McDavid has Draisaitl. 3 minutes ago, DON said: Drouin is bit overdue to score his 1st, would be fun to see him get one or two. Drouin and "fun" don't belong in the same sentence. Now "bum"? - absolutely.

DON
If they are gonna keep dressing #27, might as well hope he shines.

The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Pregame even more annoying than usual, or maybe I’m out of practice. “Go Toronto go! Go Ottawa go!! Gosh that Brady Tkatchuk is such a great guy!!” Meanwhile Maclean calling players by their first name, like he’s their bud. Gawd, what a pile of fawning garbage. The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Habs gradually started making a period of it after being owned for the first 10 minutes…but now #55 with a patented stupid penalty should see to it that we surrender the first goal as usual

The problem with dressing Drouin now is there realistically isn’t anything he can do to raise his value. He’s not going to go on a point scoring streak making him valuable to many team next season, because let’s face it, he’ not going to be traded for anything other than if a trade has to send money to another team. The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Savard flashed some offensive jam that period, then got caught up ice on the Blues goal. Sigh. Dvorak showed signs of life even if he came out -1. I’m not sure how we outshot STL, seemed like the Blues had most of the zone time. dlbalr
Tough way to end the period. Defensively, that was one of their better efforts in recent games and it would have been nice to see that rewarded with a zero in the goals allowed column.

Prime Minister Koivu
I thought we played well but St. Louis plays one hell of a tight D. They are like a bunch of bees flying around in a tight little box. Habs need to push speed
DON
Savard got caught, but good he was pressing for more offense, i suppose.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Armia looked like a slow-motion Denis Savard on that play, LOL

Sir_Boagalott
D'oh, weak clearing attempt by WiFi gives the Blues the lead back.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Now that’s a pity. The Habs were so energized by Armia’s goal, they looked like their lively October selves for a while there. WiFi and Wideman bumbling about and it’s 2-1.
BCHabnut
I'd like to see Evans with Richard. I wonder what Richard would look like with some puck battle practice?
