The freight train known as Romanov is surely pumped. Who gets destroyed by him? Cause you know that ROWmanov has a chip on his shoulder.

Projected lineup:

Caufield - Suzuki - Dach

Slafkovsky - Dvorak - Anderson

Dadonov - Evans - Armia

Drouin - Ylonen

Edmundson - Savard

Harris - Kovacevic

Xhekaj - Barron

Wideman

Montembault

To answer your question ... Dach seems the "logical" target as Romanov was traded to get the pick used to get Dach ... but I fear it could be Caufield ... unless there were any "issues" last season of which we are unaware.

I see our old friend Romy is on a 30-point pace. Not sure I saw that coming.

26.7 pts to be exact 😉 😁

Quite a jump from his 11.7pts/82gms in his two seasons with the Habs ... not much difference in TOI from last season with the Habs, so not a reflection of a difference in his use by the Islanders ... NYIs score more than the Habs did last season (almost .4g/gm) so likely a mix of playing on a better offensive team and maturation of his game.

the 4th line and 6 or 7 defencemen seems "fluid".

On the NYI goal did anyone even touch that pass?  The puck did go by a NYI and Habs player but I don't believe either touched it so I thought that it should have been icing.  Monty did play the puck, but that's probably because the refs weren't calling it icing.

It looks like Montembeault played the puck before Harris reached the "finish line" (horizontal between the faceoff dots).

I know we’re rebuilding and all, but I do not enjoy seeing the Habs dominated.

I want to see what kind of adjustments St-Louis can make in the first intermission. Their game plan is not working, can he find a way to fix it?

The good news is it’s only 2-0. That’s not insurmountable at all in today’s game - although Sorokin is a daunting opponent.

Crap, Evans looks hurt.

Worst player of the period goes to Dadonov. Horrendous blind passing and the guy should not be playing.

Best player of the period goes to Dach. Good hustle and energy.

Decent period for Slafkovsky considering the team sucked ass.

Dzone cover is a disaster tonight.

Pretty fair summary.

I felt bad for Montembault, his D support was non-existent.

A freak injury off the faceoff. Hopefully not serious and we'll see him back yet tonight.

It doesn't look pretty
