Still available: Solberg, Hage, Eiserman, Beaudoin, Surin.

I'd have no issues with Solberg either - he's a dman but looks like he'll be good and definitely plays a physical game.

Don't give Islanders any clues ... you KNOW they must be watching this forum

Depends, Eiserman would likely be the best option because he's dropped so far.  He likely has the best or 2nd best shot in the entire draft.  Solberg would be a good option too.

I still kinda like the idea of taking a chance on Letourneau - he could be the next Tage Thompson.

Looking at the table.

As soon as the islanders picked they grabbed a jersey from under the table.

I'm definitely hoping that Hughes is trying hard to get a fairly high 2nd rnd pick.  It totally sucks that MB traded away their 2nd rnd pick in this draft.

We got a few words on him here. I was higher on him than others in our group of voters, like the pick.

Four of the eight players in that group picked in the top 21! 😮

Looks like we made out really well - we got the guy I wanted in Demidov. I don't think we've picked a guy with that type of skill in. LONG time! Hopefully he comes over in 25-26!

I wished we could have moved up to get Buium. Once Buium was picked, it sucked to miss out on Eiserman by one pick.  But it sounded like Hughes got the guy they wanted though. Hopefully, he can continue to improve on his points total!

now Hughes needs to pick up a winger to play with Dach! Get it done!

Hage or Eiserman???

I wanted Hage at 21 once the trade occurred. Striking distance if he fell a bit.  Way better all round game than Eiserman.

In fact, I think Beck will end up a fourth line centre or maybe a third. Partly due to Hage leapfrogging him in short order and becoming a three or two Centre.

I am very glad he was the pick and available.

Respectfully, you weren’t nearly high enough for this to have any value in this thread.

Hope you are right. He was ranked 15-20 in a lot of mock drafts.

I was wondering. I just checked. I actually can’t find a mock draft anywhere that did not have him chosen inside the top 20.

The kid is a good. And like many who miss a year of formative development near the draft and while growing into manhood, he lost out  big on time. He’s much better and a higher ceiling than many who were picked earlier than him. IMOOC. :)

You had forgotten about Hage. 😉

I think San Jose is moving up to better their chances of getting one of the stud defensemen. If they can do that while also adding Celebrini then its a great draft for them. A bad year for the Penguins to trade their #1 pick.

Well, they got Dickinson.
